Crafty Calendar December Challenge - Day 1 Spellbinders 12 days of Stitchmas Christmas Ornament Card

Good morning, I hope you are safe and well.   This year has flew by so quickly, but I love Christmas so I don't mind.  Are you ready for the festivities, I seem to be early this year for a change, my tree is up, the presents are bought and wrapped, so other than some Christmas baking closer to the big day and I still need to make a few more Christmas cards I think I'm all set to enjoy the build up to the holiday.

As it is the first Saturday in December we have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Calendar and the theme this month is Winter/Christmas.

For my card I have used:

• The ornament/bauble die is from day 1 of the 2025 Spellbinders 12 days of Stitchmas calendar.  I didn't do any stitching on this occasion just layered the stitching detail die cuts on top in the same colour tone on tone.
• The holly sprig is from the Sizzix 664221 Large Funky Festive die set.
• The sentiment from the Spellbinders Mistletoe Greetings press plate hot foiled in in white onto black card. 
• The background looks black but it is actually the darkest of dark greens that I own (Papermill Direct Royal Green Sirio Colour Card) with a splatter of white paint.

The colour choice of the baubles/ornaments are non traditional and based on on the colour pallet one of the cards from the Spellbinders Holiday DIY Color deck Expansion Pack.  I used Spellbinders Colorwheel cardstock in Tutu, Blush and Malibu.

Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween Day Seven - Owl Halloween Card

Good evening I hope you are safe and well.  I'm a bit late posting as I had to go and fetch my new glasses after I finished work today but I have still managed to fit another card in,  I'm now on day seven of the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween box.

I was trying for a Harry Potter Professor Snape Potions lesson type of look.

For my card I have used:

• Books die set is from day seven of the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween box.
• Owl is from the Spellbinders Wise Owl die set.
• The toad is from the Spellbinders Hoppy Halloween die set.
• The background paper is from Tim Holtz Halloween Backdrops paper pack
• Potion bottles are from the Sizzix Halloween Icons die set (666453)
• Cauldron is from the Sizzix Toil & Trouble die set (665561)

Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween Day Six - Skeleton Halloween Card

Good afternoon. I hope you are keeping safe and well.

I'm still managing to keep up to date with my 13 Days of Craftoween box so I have another Halloween card today using the die set from day six.

For this card I have used:

Skeleton die set is from day six of the spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween box, attached to the card using an action wobbler.
Boo is from the Sizzix Halloween Toppers Die Set (665951) cut using glitter foam.
The background paper is from my stash.

Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween Day Five - Spider Halloween Card

Good afternoon, I hope you are keeping safe and well.  I'm managing to keep up to date with the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween box so today I have a Halloween card using the die set from day 5.

For this card I have used:

• Spider die set is from day 5 of the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween box.  He does come with a little top hat die but I decided against using it.
• The background is the Spellbinders Spider Web Background betterpress plate.  Pressed with betterpress black ink onto Pebble Betterpress cotton cardstock.

Crafty Calendar October Challenge - Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween Day 4 - Ghostly Halloween Card

Good morning I hope you are keeping safe and well.  Can you believe it is October already.  My autumn and Halloween decorations are up so I'm pretty much prepared for spooky season.

I'm on day four of the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween and this card is my DT card for our monthly challenge over at Crafty Calendar.

The theme this month is Halloween.

For my card I have used

• Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween Day Four - Ghost.  I cut two of the ghosts and used the reverse of the die cut for one of them so that they were facing different directions.
• The background is the Spellbinders Spider Web Background betterpress plate.  Pressed with betterpress black ink onto Spellbinders Dahlia cardstock and then ink blended the edges with Picked Raspberry and Black Soot Distress inks.
• Sentiment from the 13 Days of Craftoween Set.

Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween Day Three - Poison Bottle Halloween Card

 Good afternoon, I hope you are keeping safe and well.

  Storm Amy has arrived here in the UK so the best idea would be to stay indoors and look at it out of the window but I have theatre tickets for tonight so I am having to go and brave the wind and rain.   I did manage to get A Halloween card made today using day 3 of the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween box.

For my card I have used:

• Poison Bottle is from day 3 of the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween box.
• The wine glass is from the Happy Hour die set by Tim Holtz for Sizzix
• Spider and web are from the Fright Night die set by Tim Holtz for Sizzix
• Striped background paper is from the Idea-ology Halloween Backdrops paper pack
• Wooden background was made using is the Honey Bee Stamps Wood Plank 3D embossing folder

Good afternoon, I hope you are keeping safe and well.  Back again with another Halloween card using day two of the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween.

With this card I was going for a Disney Haunted Mansion feel.

For this card I have used

Raven and Skull from day two of the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween.

The books are from the Spellbinders Stitched Read and Sip die set

The background was created using the Tapestry 3D embossing folder by Tim Holtz from Sizzix.

The sentiment is from the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween stamp set.

Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween Day One - Cute Vampire Halloween Card

Good evening I hope you are keeping safe and well.  I have just started opening the Spellbinders 13 days of Craftoween box and I am going to try to make a card each day with the contents.  I just couldn't bring myself to open it before October.

So I have opened card number one and there today there is this cute vampire die set.

For this card I have used:

Spellbinders Cute Vampire die set from day one of the 13 days of Craftoween.

Sizzix Haunted House by Tim Holtz die set.

Background is blended using Distress Oxides in Villainous Potion, Stormy Sky and Black Soot

Crafty Calendar September Challenge - Waffle Flower Sew Fun Birthday Card

Good morning, I hope you are keeping safe and well.  After a summer break we are back over at Crafty Calendar with a new monthly challenge for September.

Our theme for this month is

"Lots of Layers"

For my card I have used:

Waffle flower Sew Fun Die for the Sewing Machine, fabric, threads, scissors and thimble.

Waffle Flower Tiny Square Texture Die for the background coloured using the Waffle Flower Quilted Floral Stencil and Altenew inks.

The sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Birthday Wishes stamp set heat embossed in white

Crafty Calendar June Challenge - Big Birthday Wishes Card

Good morning I hope you are keeping safe and well.  I can't believe we are nearly halfway through the year already.  Finally summer has arrived and I'm enjoying some nice weather for a change.

As it is the first Saturday in the month we have a new monthly challenge over at Crafty Calendar and the theme this month is 'Add A Sentiment'

For my card I have used:

Concord & 9th Artisan Petals Turnabout Stamp stamped using Versafine Clair inks in Hawthorn Rose, Avocado, Arctic and Medieval Blue.

The sentiment was cut from black card and layered with black foam using the Time for Tea Designs Big Birthday Wishes Large Sentiment Die.
