Quotations - CD Sunday DT

Good morning, at last a beautiful sunny day, even though it's cold,  it's been so wet here since we got home a few weeks ago, so nice to see some sunshine at long last.

Our latest theme over at CD Sunday is 'Quotations' I did struggle a little with this one at first, probably because I rarely use words on the front of my cards, I did a search through my CD's and found this one on Debbi Moore's Shabby Chic Butterflies and Flowers, it gave me a chance to use my favourite large butterfly die and a couple of smaller butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch.

8/8 - Use a Heart - OLLCB DT

An easel card from me this time for the latest challenge at Ooh-La-La, the papers and image are from their Shawn Jenkins Collection CD, I added some die cut flourishes, a die cut heart, some gems, and little white flowers which I coloured with Promarkers.

Inspired by a Song - OLLCB DT

It's time for a new theme over at Ooh-La-La and  it's 'Inspired by a Song', my song is How Much is that Doggie in the Window. So today I have an easel card, the image and BP'd are from the Ooh-La-La Cd Faithful Friends, he is so cute.  the die cut is from Marianne Creatables cut in to silver mirri. I finished off with a bow from the CD and some blue raindrops.

Dance - CD Sunday DT

Our latest theme over at CD Sunday is 'Dance', I love this image from Crisalis Classics by Crafters Companion, I sprayed with iridescent glitter spray/varnish, I used Marianne dies for the flowers and cut from papers and card, then added the ribbons and finished off with gems, the leaf flourish was a Memory Box die, I've had the lace for ages and thought it would go well on this card.

We're all loved up here at OLLC right now, so our theme this time over at Ooh-La-La is Love Story, it doesn't have to be a valentines creation, but must be a love creation, my image and papers are from Silhouette Magic CD by Ooh-La-La Creations there are so many lovely images on this CD, I wanted to keep it simple so it would be suitable for a man, so no flowers or pink etc this time, in addition I also used a heart die cut in silver mirri and some heart shaped gems. 

Art Nouveau - CD Sunday Dt

Morning all,  It's the first challenge of the new year over at CD Sunday, as it's also the first challenge of the month it's also a sponsored one, this time we have Peerless Designs as our generous sponsor and the prize is their Floral Jewels CD. The DT were given various images and papers to play with, I hope you like my little creation, it's not a great picture their is some pale lemon gingham ribbon down the right hand side and pale lemon BP behind the main image, I'll have to put it down to the awful light at moment, makes it so hard to get a decent picture of the lighter colours.

Vintage Christmas - MTTC DT

I haven't used this style card for ages, so thought it would be good for this weeks DT card over at My Time To Craft where we are having the theme of Vintage Christmas.  papers and image are from Debbi Moore, I used an MS punch for the borders and the swirl is from Marianne Creatables.

Apologies for the standard of picture this week it's a little washed out, and I have lost my normal white backing, we are baby kitty sitting for a friend at the moment and he likes to try and wreck that area of the craft room and particularly likes nibbling paper and card, his favorite trick is to tip the bin over and drag bits of paper out all over the place, and likes to empty the filing tray everywhere, I also think he is going to be a mountaineer, he seems to love scaling the shelves and eventually getting onto the top of our wardrobes, then sits there crying because he can't get down, it's been fun having him here, but normal peace and quiet will return to the house later today as he is being collected and going back to his home.

C... Christmas - OLLCB DT

Time for another challenge from the team at Ooh-La-La Creations Challenge Blog, this time the theme is very topical and is  'C...Christmas' my creation was made using images papers from the latest CD   Yuletide Wishes it has lots of fabulous images, papers and embellishments on it.  In addition to the bits from the Cd I also used a tree die from Marianne Creatables and a corner die from Memory Box, some gems from my stash and white glitter on the fur trim of the hats and jackets.

Missing Posts

Typical, seems there have been problems with my scheduled  posts earlier this week, they didn't happen and they have disappeared from the listings, shouldn't grumble really as they are always scheduled and it doesn't happen often,  but why did it have to happen when I am unwell and not up to checking it out ! Makes me want to scream.  Hopefully all will be back to normal this weekend, I just need to feel well enough to make something.

Feeling marginally better today, although not moving much as the ear infection has left me more unbalanced than usual (no rude comments please).  Many thanks for the thoughtful comments about the loss of our Sweep last week, they were very much appreciated.

So onto the missing posts, I am going to make it one big posting, as I'm really not up to sitting like this for long.

On Sunday it was time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday with the theme of 'Cute Christmas', the DT were fortunate enough to be given Elegant Inspirations - Christmas Comfort CD to play with, there are two cd's in this pack one is the normal kind of thing you would expect in the shape of images and backing papers etc., the other cd is full of different cutting files which you can use either with a cutting machine or to print off and cut out by hand.  CD Sunday also have a spare CD to give to the lucky winner of the top 3 this week, so make sure you pop over and have a look.  apart from papers.images from the CD I also used my new holly corner die and added some red Waco Pearl drops for the berries, and a little gold mirri for layering.

On Monday there was also a new challenge over at Ooh-la-La, and their theme for the fortnight is 'All at Sea' my image/papers for this are from 'Boys to Men' CD. with added die cuts from Marianne Creatables using cored'inations card which I lightly sanded after cutting/embossing.

Make it Wet - MTTC DT

It's time for new challenge over at My Time To Craft and this week the theme is Make it Wet, so we want to see some water themed projects, I chose to use a JS Thomas Kincade image for my creation and make a more masculine card, I also used some MS punches and my latest Marianne die cuts to embellish.

Make it Girly - OLLCB DT

This time for the OLL challenge blog the theme is 'Make It Girly' my digi image and papers are from the Ooh-La-La CD Dreams of Tranquility, such a restful image I layered it onto part of a doily and part of a BP punched with MS punches which I also used on the corners of the main BP and then inked the edges, to finish off I added some butterfly cut from kanban holographic mirri card using Memory Box and Marianne Dies.

It Takes Two - MTTC DT

Time for another challenge over at My Time To Craft, this time our theme is 'It Takes Two', so we want to see two of something, in my case this shutter card has two images, I printed my BP direct on to a sheet of hammered card, I used green mirri card for the layering and also the Marianne die cut flourishes, the feather, card candi and flowers were all from my stash.

Easy Elegance - CD Sunday DT

Morning all, what a horrible wet and dismal week we've had and it looks like set to last this week as well, come on summer where are you ?

As it's Sunday it's time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday, this week the theme is Easy Elegance, I used  Marianne dies for the Butterfly and the circular outer die cut into Kanban patterned mirri from my stash, the inner to the fancy circle was cut with a nestie,  the light blue satin effect card they sit on is printed from an Embossibilities CD, corners with shaped with a punch and i added some gems to finish off with, hope you like it, hope to see your entry over at CD Sunday, have a good week.

Fairies & Blooms - OLLCB DT

Another fortnight gone again, cannot believe we are half way through March already.  It's time for another challenge over at Ooh-La-La Challenge Blog and this week our theme is 'Thank You'.  My card this time is made from images and papers from their latest CD Fairies and Blooms, lots of fabulous images and papers to choose from, my image is just right for this time of year with the lovely spring colours, if you fancy a further look at what's on the CD click on the link above. Additional bits and bobs are ribbon, pearls and card candi from Joanna Sheen, the flowers were die cut with Marianne dies from the flowers paper on the CD, much neater and quicker than me handcutting the shapes !!

From me to You - CD Sunday DT

A quick and automated posting from me this week, many thanks to everyone who has sent me get well messages, sorry to say I'm still pretty much the same, I actually seemed to get worse during the week and I'm just starting my second lot of antibiotics as the first ones haven't really touched me yet.

Thankfully I already made this weeks CD Sunday card or you wouldn't be seeing anything from today, this week the theme at CD Sunday is 'From me To You',  I used papers and image from Joanna Sheens Faye Whittaker CD, I love the very large bunch of daffodils the little girl is carrying, so bright cheerful and springful (I know it's not a word !), i do love spring flowers, daffoldils, wisteria, crocus, tulips a sign of better things to come, my die cut flowers were made with Marianne Dies and the flourishes were using Spellbinders dies.

A for Adorable - My Time To Craft

Yay!! i'm so excited it's my first posting as a DT member for My Time To Craft, like most grandparents I think my granchildren are adorable and I really need to catch up on some scrapbook pages, I have so many to do, so what better than to make this one, I seem to have used a bit of all sorts on it,  no I didn't set myself a challenge to see how many of my fav bits I could use, but it does look like it !!. Seeing Double - OLLCB DT

Monday morning gain already, where did the weekend go?  This time over at Ooh-La-La Challenge we're seeing double, no not from too much falling down water !!  we want to see your image twice, well I did mine three times, yeh I know trust me to be different, I decided to go Masculine this week, my images and BP this time are from 'Boys to Men'  I thought there was a bit too much Blue/white and added some Marianne Creatables die cut flourishes they reminded of anchors and waves and I thought the red mirri gave a nice bright contrast.

Haystacks Scarecrow - Delightful Challenges DT

The challenge over at Delightful Challenges this week is Distressed/Vintage, it doesn't show very well, but the Haystacks digi which I coloured with Promarkers has tattered straw edges which I cut into several times and frayed them, the colouring is meant to look patchy in line with a distressed/faded look a scarecrow would have from being out in all weathers.  My die cuts are by Marianne Creatable, BP is from Artylicious, and riboon from my stash.

New Beginnings - OLL DT

Yay!! my first posting as a member of the DT over at Ooh-La-La Challenge, our challenge for this fortnight is New Beginnings, so for me it was good to make a calendar.  My Ooh-La-La  gorgeous image is from the Carnival of Colour CD, I took the image into a calendar making program that came with my printer, I layered onto dark green mirri and Centura Pearl card, my new corner embelishments and the butterflies which I have for ages are made from Marianne Creatable dies.
