I doodled the black (around the card and the lines to either side of the sentiment) and white pen dots.
The flowers are stamps which I colored in with a ProMarker.

NSD Use Your Scraps Challenge with Saundra

Hi There! Saundra here from  Luv Scrapping Together!

This month we are celebrating National Scrapbooking Day with a Challenge every hour.

Every challenge you participate in gives you a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the SPS store. That's is $20 per challenge! all you have to do is link up to the challenge in which you are participating.

I will tell you my challenge at the end of this post.

Here is what I have created today. I made 2 shaped cards using my scraps to create them.

For this card, I used Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge to create the base , the scallop, and the hat.

The base was cut from Bazzill Kraft cardstock. All of my scraps came from Echo Park's Paradise Beach 6x6 paper pad. This is a fun and colorful collection of beach and summer prints.

I added a brad from MME The Sweetest Thing Sunshine Brads and added some baker's twine in Blossom from The Twinery.

To finish my card off, I added some faux stitiching with my white gel pen and a ribbon from my stash.

Here you can see how this card folds open. The Cricut cartridge has this shape built right in.

For my second card, I started with the same Bazzill Kraft cardstock but this time I used 2 circles that I cut from Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge. In the picture below it shows how I attached them to create the base. The circle and starburst shape also came from Accent Essentials.

I cut the party hat from Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge.

My scraps for this card came form MME The Sweetest Thing "Tangarine" 6x6 pad. I LOVE the prints in the collection. They are just so pretty.

I made a pom pom from The Twinery Baker's Twine in Mandarin for some embellishment.

This sentiment is also from My Pink Stamper's Birthday Doodles set and stamped with MPS Darkest Night Ink.

To make a shaped card without using software to weld your images togetheris to cut 2 of the same shape. Score one of the shapes about 1 1/2 inches from the edge and just add adhesive to that part. It's very easy and the plus side is that your shapes will not have a flattened side.

Ok, so here is my challenge:
Make a shaped card using your scraps!

To participate in this challenge, just link up at the end of this post. I cannot wait to see what you create with your scraps!

Shop Pumpkin Spice has also given us a COUPON CODE for the store!!! She is having crazy sales - just click on the sale section! The coupon code for my post is: NSD4 for 10% off your order today!!! Click HERE to go to the store.

Have fun today! The next challenge will be posted at 9 AM pst. with Carissa!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Denine - Cards

Hello Everyone,

It's Friday.  Hip Hip Hooray for Friday!!!

I have been watching videos this week from Patterned Play, a class over at Online Card Classes.  Jennifer McGuire shared a technique on Day 1 that I have absolutely fallen in love with and can see it becoming a Go To technique for quick easy fun cards.

Didn't they turn out cute!  I just love this technique and will definitely be trying to find a way to do it with my electric die machines.  I love puzzles, so this really was a fun card to put together.  And super fast to assemble.

I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Big Scalloped Circles
Paradise Beach by Echo Park
Girlie Doodles by MPS
Texas Chocolate Ink by MPS

The Technique:
- You cut all 3 papers and dies nested together at once, this makes them fit within each other perfectly.

I also used a Sizzix Scrappy Cat die that cuts and embosses in one pass... love it!  I tend to not emboss with my cuttlebug using dies because it is time consuming.. this totally rocked!

Have a fabulous Friday.

You have a few more hours to submit your Rainbow Project to our Pumpkin Spice Weekly Challenge.  Come back tomorrow to see who the winner is.

Hugs,

Live In The Sunshine

Good Morning Friends,

Before I begin I just want to say that the SPS challenge ends tonight!!!! Last time I looked there were only 2 entries-- Enter------ what are you waiting for???----  with odds like that your chances are good. I have a link at the bottom of the post

This is DIANA L. from DL.ART, I'm glad you stopped by, I have a great card to show you, at least I think it is.

I made an envelope to go with it using the washi tape that is in the kit, It is a protective envelope. If you would like to see How I made it here is a link to the video-- Click Here

It would not have been possible without the  August kit "SUMMER BLAST" is fantastic-- there is so much in this kit.
Everything on this card is from the kit except the stickles  I used to add bling, that is from my stash.
This kit is full of bright colors, happy feelings, and lots of fun patterns.

Look at every thing you get in the kit. Don't those 3 rolls of washi tape (the patterns will vary) look yummy?
Look at the little garlands-- You know you want those. Every piece of paper in this kit is so adorable. I can see using this whole kit.

So here is what is in the kit: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Look up^

As you all know Robyn,  AKA  My Pink Stamper will no longer be producing her stamps.  If you want to get her stamps there is a limited supply at Shop Pumpkin Spice. When they are gone they are gone.

Kitchen Scraps

Hello Everyone,

Wow.. what a summer.  In Washington it is so unusual to have the beautiful sunshine.  We are really enjoying it.

However, Pumpkin was down with the Flu yesterday, poor thing, and it was in the 90's.  Yikes... she is such a trooper.

If you have not heard the news about My Pink Stamper (AKA - Robyn), you may want to check out her post from Wednesday.  Click HERE to read more. We Adore you My Friend.

So I put together a few 'small' projects for today to show off some sweet paper I purchased years ago.  Yep, years ago.. lol  Nothing like procrastination.

My problem is I just love looking at the designs and patterns on the paper, so cutting it up is so hard to do.  Well I finally figured out how to have my 'cake' and eat it to.

I couldn't cut up that 12 x 12 with the adorable kitchen scene.  Just too cute.  So I left it as is and layered some mats for journal space and a picture or two.  I already have the picture in mind, just need to print it.

All the fun glitter on the yummy pictures on this paper... again, I just need to show it off on this card by just cutting them into panels for a card.  And some ribbon and presto, CAS card.

Lastly, another CAS card with a sentiment from My Pink Stamper.

Perfect for this paper if you ask me.

All in all, these 3 project 5 sheets of 12 x 12 paper with lots of extra scraps for more future projects.

Hope everyone has an amazing and fun filled weekend.

Hugs,
