Like any good first-person shooter, Medal of Honor European Assault has guns. Lots of them. As you run through the game, you'll get weapons from your fellow OSS squadmates, find them scattered on the ground, and even pry them from the cold, dead hands of your enemies. There are a variety of weapon types, too, including pistols, machine guns, grenades, and even a few kinds of rocket launchers. We got a chance to check out some of the weapons available to you, and we've got descriptions of each and every one of them on the following pages.

6. Mark II Fragmentation Grenade

The American version of the Mark grenade, the Mark I weighs 21 ounces, a weight that the average soldier could throw between 35 and 40 yards. When the grenade's TNT filler explodes, the serrated cast-iron body shatters into hundreds of shards, with the deadly shrapnel tearing into any targets that are nearby. The Mark I features a reliable 3 to 5 second fuse, and has a 5 yard effective killing radius and a casualty radius of 15 yards.

7. PPSh 41 Sub-Machinegun

The PPSh 41 was originally designed by Georgiy Shaposhnikov in 1940 to make use of inexpensive manufacturing techniques, ensuring that the weapon could be easily mass produced. While most major Armies of the time armed their infantrymen with rifles, almost half of the Soviet soldiers were given this submachine gun. The weapon featured 7.62x25 rounds, and though they were a bit lacking in power, the gun was relatively accurate. Still, the gun was not comfortable for use, was prone to accidental discharges, and wasn't as reliable as many people believed. It weighed 8 pounds and fires in either semi- or full-automatic modes from a 71 round drum magazine or a 35 round stick magazine.
