Like any good first-person shooter, Medal of Honor European Assault has guns. Lots of them. As you run through the game, you'll get weapons from your fellow OSS squadmates, find them scattered on the ground, and even pry them from the cold, dead hands of your enemies. There are a variety of weapon types, too, including pistols, machine guns, grenades, and even a few kinds of rocket launchers. We got a chance to check out some of the weapons available to you, and we've got descriptions of each and every one of them on the following pages.

4. Mosin-Nagant - M1891/30 Rifle

Developed in 1930, the Mosin-Nagant was based on the design of Trechlineynaja vintovka obraztsa 1891 goda, the result of an unintended collaboration between Mosin, a Captain in the Russian Army, and Leon Nagant, a Belgian arms designer. This version was easier to manufacture, and added a bayonet mount, as well as some changes to the rear sights. Although it wasn't as advanced as some of the other infantry rifles of the time, it was still adequate and reliable, chambering a 7.62x54 R cartridge that held 5 rounds.

5. Number 36M Mark I Fragmentation Grenade

Commonly referred to as a "Mills Bomb", the British 36 M Mark I is similar to the American-made Mark II, in that it is made of a cast-iron body that, when destroyed, showers any target that is within the blast radius with lethal splintered fragments. However, the 36M features a casualty radius that is twice that of the American version, which many considered to be overkill, as the thrower himself was at risk of catching shrapnel. The 36M weighs in at 1 pound 11 ounces, and has a 4 or 7 second fuse, offering the thrower a bit more time to get to a safe distance.
