Magic Pengel (Rakugaki Oukoku in Japan) was an extremely unique concept wrapped up in a half-baked game. Its unique drawing tools, great story, and atmospheric music were nearly cancelled out by an uninteresting and punishing battle system. Rakugaki Oukoku 2, which is being called Graffiti Kingdom in North America, addresses many of the originals shortcomings while expanding the gameplay. I recently took a look at the game and was happy to see that it's coming along well.
