Delivering an intense real-time strategy experience to the PlayStation 2, Legion: The Legend of Excalibur combines sword and sorcery action with rich story and character advancement. Developed by the former Command & Conquer creators at 7 Studios, Legion retells the story of King Arthur through 13 in-depth missions across a myriad of different landscapes. Each stage boasts primary and secondary objectives in addition to more than 100 different kinds of weapons, armor, and items to fight with. Magic using players can even wield in upwards of 20 different spells and veteran strategists can pit their wits against an advanced AI system that was more than three years in the making.
On paper, Midway's latest game looked promising. An action real-time strategy game set in the time of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table? Lancelot? Guinevere? Merlin?
