We've brought you several previews of the highly anticipated Old West action game that developer Neversoft is currently putting the finishing touches on. You've no doubt heard all about the game's combat, horseback riding mechanic, and dark storyline, but there's still more stuff to learn about. This time, we had a chance to chat with Irwin Chen, the game's associate producer, about what sort of locales Colton White would be visiting. He answered our questions, and also sent back an exclusive video to give everyone a taste of what's to come.

GameSpy:What are the major differences between the game's towns?

Irwin Chen:Everything from a sprawling frontier town, to a remote Apache Indian settlement perched on bluff is represented in GUN. We really wanted each town to have its own life and personality. Empire, New Mexico Territory is a bustling territorial town with a Spanish-Mexican influence characteristic of the Southwest, Dodge City is a lawless cow town of the plains of the Mid-West.

You'll see different groups of people, animals wandering the streets and going about there daily business. Pull your gun in town and different people will react accordingly. Some will draw weapons and fight back while others run for the hills (even stealing your horse and riding off if they can).
GameSpy: Will all of the towns be accessible right off the bat?
Irwin Chen:The different towns will open as you progress through the main story. The world unfolds naturally as you travel through our epic missions. We really wanted to give the player a chance to explore each of the towns and get the full experience of the West as it really was.

GameSpy: Do all of the same towns offer the same types of missions, or are some of them specific to the given area?
Irwin Chen: Each town has separate and unique side missions for you to tackle. You'll help the town sheriff keep the peace in one and take jobs from a federal marshal in another. In all the towns you can take pony express missions, bounty hunt and work for lawmen but the actual missions are specific to the town you are in. To complete 100% of the side missions you'll want to travel to them all.
GameSpy: How far apart are the towns?
Irwin Chen: It's a long walk but a much shorter ride so you'll want to take a horse and choose the right route. In between the towns are hidden gold mines, bandit attacks and roaming packs of wild animals to keep your eyes open for. There is plenty to keep you busy even as you travel across the world.
GameSpy:Will every town have the same businesses? That is, can I buy a drink or find a woman in every town I come across?
Irwin Chen: The stores in the different towns sell unique items. You can buy a cylinder boring kit to increase the power of your pistol, belts to help you carry more shotgun shells, or even a scalping knife to make your enemies pay. Every one of the stores has entirely different inventory. You can also gamble at the local saloon in each town and play against different opponents.
