Majesco announced today that it has attained the publishing rights for Aeon Flux for the Xbox and PlayStation 2.

Based off the film and the animated series, Aeon Flux bridges the eight year gap between the two. The game will feature the talents of the film's cast including Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux as well as Marton Csokas, Frances McDormand, Oscar nominee Sophie Okonedo, Johnny Lee Miller and Pete Postlethwaite.

Developed by Terminal Reality, the developers of the BloodRayne series, Aeon Flux will capture the action and style of Peter Chung's futuristic animated series and will blend stealth, speed and acrobatic combat to dispose of the evil tyranny plaguing the city of Bregna.
"We are excited to be partnering with MTV and Terminal Reality on such an encompassing project as Aeon Flux," said Jesse Sutton president of Majesco. "By including the voice talent and likeness of Charlize Theron, we hope to provide consumers with a product that seamlessly fits within the world of Aeon Flux yet offers an interactive component that complements its entertainment counterparts."
Aeon Flux is set to be released together with the Paramount Pictures/Lakeshore Entertainment film this fall.
