  Blaze: President Donald Trump is implementing a temporary solution to minimize the pain inflicted on American servicemen during the Democrat-induced government shutdown. Trump announced Saturday that he has identified funds for Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to use to ensure that American troops don't miss a paycheck on Oct. 15. This action comes after the Senate reached a stalemate, sending lawmakers home until votes resume Tuesday. With no end to the shutdown in sight, Trump decided to take matters into his own hands. The next military paycheck is due October 15. Because of the Schumer shutdown there is a dangerous possibility that the men and women who risk their lives defending America and their families will not be paid. As an Army brat (my father spent 26 years in the infantry and served in World War Two, Korea, and Vietnam) I know how tight finances can be and how much military families depend on the government keeping its word and paying them on time. The Senate can avoid all this pain and confusion among our military families by simply passing HR5731 immediately. HR5731 has already passed the House and if five more Democratic Senators would join the 3 Democrats and 52 Republicans who have already voted for it then the military and their families would be paid on time next Wednesday.  TrendingPolitics: Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was laughed off the chamber’s podium this week for suggesting that a New York Times poll showing that Americans blame Democrats for the government shutdown was biased against his party. The bizarre moment, which led the entire Republican side of the chamber to erupt into laughter, occurred just before the government officially shut down. The Senate Democrats voted down a continuing resolution that had been passed by the House of Representatives. “Now I know the leader is going to show a poll that says that Democrats will be blamed for the shutdown,” Schumer said, alluding to the New York Times/Siena survey in question. “There are many more polls that show Republicans are blamed. The question in that poll is biased.” ... I think Democrats are the only ones who wanted to shut down the government, and they did it because of their irrational hatred of Trump and his supporters.  I blame Schumer and the Democrats for the shutdown....
