Stampers Anonymous Christmas Card Ideas 2021

Alright my crafty friends, I found a bunch of quick vido walk throughs I made in August and September of many of my Christmas/Holiday makes and I was so happy to find them! So now I am just working on editing and such in between running errands and helping my parents. So I hope you find these quick videos helpful and interesting.

Below are just stills of the things I discussed in the video.

Shout out to Jennifer McGuire for another fun background technique to try! I love experimenting.
Color a piece of Heavystock with Blueprint Sketch or Prize Ribbon Blue, then heat emboss the snowflake from Holiday Things stamps in clear embossing ink and powder. Spray it with water to activate the ink and I added a few sprays of the Snow Flurries Mica Stain too.
Then lay a clean piece of Distress Heavystock on top of the colored piece and run them both through a die cut machine with no die. the pressure with transfer the ink color to the clean piece and then embossing will leave a void. then I ran the embossed piece through an iron with a clean piece of copy paper to melt the embossing powder off and it will leave a the image darker on the original piece. It's kind of opposite of the Iron-off technique.

On this piece and the one below I tried stamping the Holiday Text in Versamark Ink for a resist, then coloring it with a blending tool in Picked Raspberry and Pink Flamingo, but it didn't show up as well as I had hoped.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you  are enjoying the season.

Have a creative day,

Tami

Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Christmas Release

What a fun Christmas Stamp release from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous! And wow! The makers knocked it out of the park. Wow! So many amazing ideas. I need to start a list of techniques from them that I want to try.

Ok, not gonna lie, this is my favorite set! Cozy Christmas is my Christmas Card making style. Stamp, watercolor, go. LOVE it!
The Multi Stripes Layering Stencil is wonderful in multiple widths.  I paired the Winter Watercolor 2 with Bold Tidings 3 and the December peeking out on the side is from the Jolly Santa stamp.
I broke out the glitter for this one. The background is one of my favorite plaid stamps from Tim. All the stamps are linked below for you to easily access them if you'd like. I stamped the Winter Watercolor 2 tree and aded the decorative strip die from Jolly Santa along the side.
This little trio of cards is a great way to make a bunch of backgrounds and focal point strips with Mini Bold Tidings and Holiday Things and then assemble a bunch of cards at once using lots of backgrounds that you have on hand with some that you can make at the same time. This is a fun opportunity to use lots of the background stamps you have. Most of the stamps I used are linked below.

This last one I wanted to show the stencil. There is a detail that It difficult to see from this far away so I'll show it in my little tutorial walk through video. I wanted to show the three different sizes of Multi Stripes with the stencils. The focal sentiment is from Christmastime stamps from 2020 or 2019. It is linked below.

What great release! Thank you to Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous for the wonderful new Christmas stamps this year! I might Actually get some Christmas cards made and mailed out this year, how about you?

Thank you so very much for stopping by. I will have some walk through tutorial videos coming out soon! Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Youtube because I often post tutorials and details in both of those places as well. Links to both are in the column at the right.

Best Wishes for the Holiday Season - Collage Paper Stamping

Christmastime CMS352 stamp set has several sentiments with fabulous vintage fonts. For this card I wanted the font to be in the forefront in a different way than the others, so I used the following Collage Paper technique.
Using my Stamp Platform, I stamped the sentiment on Plain Collage Paper, and then embossed it with silver embossing powder.
I stamped over it a second time  and embossed it with black embossing powder.. Then I stamped over the back ground with the Music background stamp from the Music and Advent stamp set in Hickory Smoke Archival Ink. I stamped it in many different directions so it looked kind of like a collage.
I wanted to overlay it on something soft and vintage in a different color scheme,  so I pulled these older stamp sets, Festive Sketch CMS283 and Holiday Drawings CMS284. I stamped them in Hickory Smoke Archival Ink onto Distress Mixed Media Heavystock, then watercolored with Distress Markers.
The next step was to adhere the collage paper onto the stamped background with Distress Collage Medium. Once it was dry I cut the sentiment out with one of the small Stitched Rectangle dies. I then cut a larger piece of silver metallic paper to be a mat and popped it up with dimensional adhesive over the place where I cut it out.
I added a little shimmer to the card with Brushed Pewter Distress Crayon.
The last few touches were to sew around the edge with silver metallic thread and attach some Ideaology Nailheads.

Merry - Funky Festive

Funky Festive is a fantastic die set to have for the holidays. It has everything - greenery, flowers, berries, bows - a definite must have die for holiday projects. I used it on so many of my Christmas samples.
This simple, traditional card features the poinsettia a few greens and a bow from the Funky Festive. They are paired (yep I was all about pairing this year) with a staple holiday die, Candlelight.
I kept the background simple with just the 3-D Lumber Texture Fade cut out of the large Stacked Label and the sentiment was cut using the Holiday Words #2 set.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Oh those delightful Christmas Overlay CMS357 stamps! I used them in two ways on this card and paired (there's that word again! LOL) them with the Music background stamp from Music & Advert CMS358 to make a card with a traditional Chrismas feel.
I started with stamping the wreath in Black Archival and watercoloring it with Distress Markers. Then I stamped the sentiment in Black archival and them in clear embossing with gold embossing powder.
The frame I made just by stamping the music in Black Soot Archival and adding Antique Linen.  I died some seam binding with Festive Berries.
The large background is stamped with the holly stamp from the Christmas Overlay in Black Soot Archival and then water colored with Distress Markers.  I completed the card by sewing around the edges with gold metallic thread.

Season’s Greetings - Winter Watercolor

Winter Watercolor CMS354 is a lovely stamp that allows you to stamp in layers for added detail and dimension. It’s beginning to look like I did a lot of pairing on my sample card this year. I didn’t realize that until I started writing these blog posts. With that said, I paired the Winter Watercolor with Christmastime CMS352, which is a set of really lovely sentiments that can be a focal point on their own.
I stamped the very background with the Lace from the Lace and Ornate set, in Antique Linen Distress Ink. The poinsettia stamp is layered with Candied Apple Distress Oxide and the center is embossed gold.

The mat was lightly blended with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide and then stamped the watercolor holly leaf in the same. Then I sprayed both with Distress Resist Spray which is my new favorite thing to spray on everything. LOL  I love that stuff!
The sentiment was also stamped in Peeled Paint Distress Oxide and then embossed with Ranger Clear Super Fine Embossing Powder.
