A definição de música psicodélica é muito ampla, mas podemos resumir como a presença de algumas características como instrumentação exótica, inspiração exotérica, distorções nas notas musicais, presença de teclados e órgãos eletrônicos, guitarras distorcidas, influência oriental, entre inúmeras outras. A psicodelia surgiu na Inglaterra em meados da década de 1960 e se espalhou mundo afora consolidando o estilo.
Começamos o programa de hoje com a banda inglesa Majority One, uma das poucas bandas que gosto de praticamente todas as músicas. Vamos ouvir Get Back Home, lado B do single da balada Because I Love, hit da banda. Este lado B com muita guitarra distorcida. Em seguida iremos de Shocking Blue, banda holandesa dona do mega hit Venus. Ouviremos Acka Raga, do álbum At Home, de 1969. Depois iremos de Pink Floyd, com Astronomy Domine, faixa do fantástico The Piper At The Gates of Dawn, de 1967, inclusive mencionado em alguns textos como o marco da psicodelia. E pra finalizar, o clássico In-a-Gadda-da-Vida, dos americanos do Iron Butterfly, de 1968!
