Prairie Fairy Friday

Good Morning to all, its been a very forgetful week this week for me first I forgot to post my DT card for Cute Daisy May then I did the Simon Says Blog Hop, did my card for the challenge and then forgot to add it to their Mr Linky ahh well.

It’s also been hubby’s cemo week probably why I have been so forgetful as I have other things on my mind, this treatment make him very tired so while he sleeps I get a bit of crafting in.

I hope you are all ready to get creative as it’s time for Prairie Fairy Friday again, thank you to all who entered last week, we loved looking at your creations and wow was their some stunners out there. This week the theme is the beautiful Olympic colours, which inspired Roberta with the mountains on the banners, so she chose to do a colour challenge this week with these colours.

I used the image called In the Garden, which you can find here and this image is perfect for a Mothers Day card, so my mom will be getting two cards this year and used the sketch from Papertake which I loved using and shall be using this one again.

The flowers, butterfly and the blue flower center are from Siri over at One Dog Loads of Crafts, she has one beautiful blog and some stunning creations, thank you Siri, I chose the grey flowers and coloured them with inks to get the colour blue I wanted.

I have just noticed that the inside is a bit wonky, bit like me really :-) oh well never mind I will have to change it later.

The rest of the recipe for this card are:

Coloured with Copic
Sentiments – Computer
Inks – Colour Box
Ribbon – Bo Bunny
Leafs – BossKut
Corners – EK Punch
Glimmer Mist – Diamond

I have entered it into the following challenges:

Secret Crafter -Mothers Day

Digital Tuesday - A card for MOM

I look forward to seeing your creations using this colour combination and thank you for popping by my place I really look forward to your visits and I shall be round to see you all later.

Flower Card and Challenge

The paper is a present from a friend; it comes from a book collection of all different colours and textures. The topper in the circle, I can not remember where I got these but I happen to have a box full, must be at least 20 in there, I quiet like them and they make quick and easy cards. I also did some stamping today, which I did enjoy! But did not use the whisper pens as they drove me crazy last time, I used paint instead and I am quite happy with the results, I will make the card tomorrow.
Have a really good day all.

Mother card

I was feeling home sick today and was thinking about my mother so I made her a card, I have been an expat for the past 18 years and sometimes you get to thinking about all the things you miss like your mother, brothers (sometimes lol), son, grandkids, sherbet with the liquorish stick (can you still get them), frys turkish delight, glue dots as I have run out and most of all the craft shops, especially going round them with my friend as I always spend more than I should, as she says you need this and this. Anyway I had a good craft day did a few cards and layouts, which I shall show later.

Engagement,Cuttlebug and stamping.

Engagement Card I did for our son and his new fiancé.

First I stamped the card corners with Pink ink and then embossed a piece of card with the cuttlebug hearts folder and used a corner punch for decoration. For the inner card I cut a piece of red card for the base and a piece of white card a fraction smaller and put it through the cuttlebug again then used the same punch for the corners and adhered it to the red card with 3D dots, added the rose and three hearts shaped gems. Tied a ribbon round the card and adhered the whole lot to the base card finely stuck a red and pink heart to top of the ribbon and added the sentiment.

For the inside I usually print straight onto the card but for some reason my printer was playing up and would not print the dimensions I wanted (still trying to figure that one out) so I printed the message onto pink copy card and stamped the image round the outside finishing of with a heart embellishment.
