 I am sat here all alone as Brian as had to go away for a few days to Dubia but it givers me chance to crack on with my Christmas cards and the odd candles, one of which I have to show you tonight.

Whoopsi Daisy Challenge

Hi Everyone
Hope your all having a good day today, mine started early as I had to go to the hospital for a blood test agggg hate needles also got my results from my hip and back scan, my lower two disc at the base of my spine are crumbling but I already knew that, apparantly it's got worse so they are going to sort something out for me, pain killers I expect and tomorrow I have a bone densitiy scan but others wise I feel great lol. ok moan over.

No card today but a candle and a new challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy and the theme is.......
     
                                                                               Punch It

 I used a M/S butterfly punch, punched it twice, inked with distressing ink and stuck together in the middle  finished with pearls.The image was coloured with Copic.

 

So get out those punches and have a ball than come over and enter our lovely challenge.

Candle and Being Moved

Hi All Lots to go through tonight as I will not be crafting until further notice so I will give you my news now.

We had very good news from the hospital in the UK , Brian went to have his test at the Royal Marsden, a full week of coming and going and test after test and then having to wait a week for the results, GOOD NEWS, his cancer is still stable and the treatment is doing it’s thing, in keeping it at bay.

We do not have to go back to the hospital until October now (fingers crossed) which is good news too, he is looking good and feeling like his old self againJ with this treatment he is on.

My next new is rather bleak, as I was crafting this afternoon we had a call from the company Brian works for to be ready to move at 9 in the morning as we are be moved to a hotel near the airport.

All company employees have to meet at a certain place, we will all go by convoy and have a police escort to move us to the other side of Manama, we can only take a small suitcase and personal belongings with us, on a lighter note, that’s the whole of my craft room that’s personal to me, any way I have got my jewellery, money and passport at the ready, now I just have to pack, a situation like this and I have no idea what to pack.

I hate leaving my house as it’s all personal stuff to us both but they say it will be safe, I do hope so or I shall have to come begging to you my kind friends for crafty stuff lol.

I thought I might as well show you my creation I did this afternoon as I don’t know when I will get to craft or blog again, it’s just a little candle I did with a new Whimsy image by Chrissy.

Two candles and a Box

Good Morning ladies and today I have two candles and a box to share with you, I read about how to decoration candles with stamped images the other night and decided to have ago, quick explanation, take a single sheet of tissue or toilet roll sheet, stamp your chosen image onto it, colour with your choice of medium, I used copic.
Lay the tissue on your candle then I put a piece of grease proof paper over the top and held it tightly and gave it a blast with my heat gun, the wax melts a bit and takes up the tissue just leaving your image, hey presto an image left on your candle, to finish off I added a sentiment in the same way, also ribbon, stickles sparkle which look blue but is actually white and a bit of bling.

I have to say it took me two attempts to colour the image and I found if I went too near the edge of the image the colour would bleed over the lines so I started again in the middle of the image and coloured a little at time and this worked.

The second candle is done using a die cut I found in Cyprus, as this is for decoration only, I glued the die cut to the candle and used a stick on snowflake which I glittered, and added bling which is from Kaban along with a ribbon to finish. I also made a matching box to put chocolates in using Bo Bunny papers and ribbon, the snowflake is K and Co.

When I find my cellophane bags I will popped the candles in these and add tags.

I shall be trying the stamping on candles again as I really enjoyed making this one and as my first attempt I am quiet pleased with it.
