Prairie Fairy Challenge

Good Morning all, I have not been blogging this week as my hubby was taken into hospital on Tuesday morning as he was dehydrated, this is because of the cemo, he has been in a lot of pain too so they are giving pain relieve which can only be administered in the hospital. He underwent a lot of test today so we hope the problem will be sorted soon and he can get back home.

So now I know he is in safe hands and doing well I am back in my craft room, it gets a bit lonely in the house at night time plus it takes my mind of things for a little while.

So onto my card and I hope you are all ready to get creative as it’s time for Prairie Fairy Friday again, thank you to all who entered last week, we loved looking at your creations and wow was their some stunners out there.

This week Robert has come up with the theme of texture so get texturing your cards ladies and enter Prairie Fairy Friday challenge and you could win the following:

Random winner is 5 Images from Prairie Fairy Designs.
------

1 Spot winner will be 3 Images from Prairie Fairy Designs and a guest designer spot for next weeks challenge.
-------

3 spot winners will get a top 3 badge to show on their side bar.

Ok back to my card and I use the image called Gerrys Birthday Set, in this set you get Gerry of course and also the Presents you see on the card, there’s more, you also get a Birthday cake wow how great is that and you can find this and many more fantastic images here.

He's so cute

I used Basic Grey papers and distressed the edges with Tim Holz distressing tool and inks to give depth and texture.

Gerry and the presents are coloured with Copic, Glitter Pens and Sakurs Gell Pen. The presents were cut out and mounted near Gerry, the presents come separate on the same sheet, the image was then layered onto orange card and layered again onto the base card.

I added fluffy fiber (given to me by Lyn at Spyder's Corner , thank you, I love it) and gems for more texture, lastly the sentiment was done on the computer and distressed and layered in the same way, so I am all textured and distressed out now lol.

You do not have to use a Prairie image but if you have some we would love to see them.

I have entered my card into the following challenges.

Simon Says Challenge – Distressing

Papertake Weekly Challenge – Open Theme

Charisma Cardz - Animals

Roberta is also doing a search for her Prairie Fairy buttons on your blogs, do you have any on your blog!!!! if Roberta spots them you could win.

To find out what you will have to visit the challenge blog .

All for now my blogging friends and thank you for popping by my place and I shall see you later tonight when I shall be round to visit you.

Crafty Ann’s

Ann over at Crafty Ann’s challenge blog asked me to be a guest designer for the month of March, and I can not believe this is my last creation for her, I shall miss crafting for Ann as I enjoyed working with her lovely images and papers. I also loved looking at your creations for the last challenge as they were all so beautifully

Onto this fortnights challenge which has the theme of, a card, gift or memento for a someone special to you, I made the flowers for my mom and you can find these flowers HERE at Crafty Ann’s digi shop they are called 3D Short and Long Petal and 3D Daisy / Gerbera, plus you also get the leafs too, please check out the other selection of images, you will not be disappointed they are all gorgeous.

I coloured the flowers with Copic then cut them all out and inked all the edges in the same colour as the flowers, I then added the shine with glossy accents and left to dry overnight, using spacers and brads to finish them off, finally securing them to wire with contact adhesive.

I saved one flower to make this photo frame for a friend, it is made with coloured cardboard with a square aperture cut out of the middle, the lilac paper inside is also from Crafty Ann’s digi shop too, I just added sentiment and pearls to finish it off.

The paper and flower can easily be removed and a picture will slot in to replace them but I think my friend will keep it like this.

To take part in the challenges you don't have to use any digital images or papers designed by Crafty Ann's but please go and have a look, also check out the work of the talented DT’s while your there, you will not be disappointed their work is beautiful, I am so honoured to have been creating with them for this month, thank you Ann and all the DT ladies.

Prairie Fairy and Guest Designer for Crafty Ann's

Good Morning all and this morning I have two cards to show you, the first one is for my DT spot over at Prairie Fairy, great challenge this week and the second is for my Guest Designer Spot for Crafty Ann’s whoo so excited to be asked.

Prairie Fairy Challenge

So onto this weeks challenge for Prairie Fairy and this week Roberta has asked us to have tissue paper on our creation, well I had no idea what to do with tissue paper and after a lot of deliberation I decide on making some flowers and leafs for my card, not as easy as I thought and after my third attempt and very messy hands, with all the ink, I came up with these flowers with added pearls for the centre.

I am quiet pleased with the result, so if your stuck with what to do with the tissue paper challenge this week why not have a go at making your own flowers.

The image I used on my card this week is called Prima ballerina which you can find here plus many more beautiful images created by Roberta and the sentiment was done on the computer, the papers are my usual Bo Bunny and the tiny bit of lace is from another card.

Don’t forget to check out the other fantastic creations by my sister DT fairys you will be amazed with what they came up with.

I have entered into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Flowers
A Spoonful of Sugar - Recycled

Crafty Ann’s Challenge

Ann over at Crafty Ann’s challenge blog as me to be a guest designer for the month of March, whoo I was so excited that she picked me, I jumped at the chance to work with her lovely images and papers.

This fortnights challenge is a Colour challenge - you must include lilac, pink and lemon on your project, I decided to do a card and a tag, I used Crafty Ann’s digi cupcake image, I coloured them with water colours and added glitter done with copic glitter pens, the lilac paper is also from Crafty Ann’s digi shop and you can find both the image and paper HERE and a lots more selection to pick from, you will not be disappointed they are gorgeous.

To take part in the challenges you don't have to use any digital images or papers designed by Crafty Ann's but please go and have a look, also check out the work of the talented DT’s while your there, you will not be disappointed their work is beautiful, I am so honoured to be working with them for this month.

Another Christmas Card

Good Morning all my blogging friends and I hope the sun is shining for you, as it is here for me.

I managed another Christmas card this morning, as I did promise myself at least one a week for my collection, so I am quiet happy as it’s only Tuesday but I must get my hubby’s Birthday card done next, as his BD is looming and I found a great image from Squigglyfly for that, but you will have to wait till middle of the week to see it.

I wanted to enter a few challenges with my Christmas card and there is a perfect sketch over at Winter Wonderland which I loved using, the image is from PinkCat Studio and is just right for a celebration which is the theme over at Creative Card Crew.
Over at Susie and Vikki Christmas Club their theme this week is Hot Chocolate, well blow me down with a feather I do not have any Christmas images with hot chocolate, so I decide my cat is hot hot hot and the bag she is delivering has chocolates in it hence hot chocolate, so I hope I qualify with my way out thinking lol.
I added some faux stiching, which happens to be the theme over at Bah Humbug for this week.

I also added faux stitcing to the inside.

Well I think that covers it all for today and thanks for popping by my place and I shall see you all soon, as I shall be popping over to your place to see what you have been up to.
Hugs

Good Morning ladies I hope your all crafting away like little beavers :-)
Well what a day it was yesterday I’m sat happily studying away with some light classical music on for inspiration, which I need at the moment, and DH rings and says I forgot to tell you we have been invited to a Birthday party (my friend came back from Cyprus early and her partner is holding a surprise party for her) could you repeat that?!!!! plus other things I said, one of them being I have nothing to wear! DH also said can you get a present and make a card for 7’o clock, err could you repeat that too?! are all men like this or I am lucky and got the only one lol.

So off I go to find some paper in her favourite colours and made this card, now to the present and no time to go shopping, idea pops into my head I have some of her favourite chocolates in the fridge (luckily we both like the same ones) so I made her this box and filled it with the scrummy chocolates oh I ate a few as well lol.

The inside flowers I cut from the ribbon.

Now what to wear! then I remember buying a new outfit last week hehhehehe, so out I come all ready to go and DH says you look lovely (he’s looking for brownie points now after this mornings fiasco) OHHH with fingers crossed, I say this old thing I have had it for ages, well it has been in the wardrobe for a week, so it’s old now lol.
How lucky am I, as this week ABC challenge blog is looking for circles on your creations and my paper and box has circles on them so I shall enter it into their challenge.
Also another challenge blog Doodle Palace to use pastels and daisies and they are pastels and their is a few daisy on the paper.
