Good Afternoon Babes! Today I have Bettina Grape from the Candy Collection (which I still need to share swatches of). Candy is a pretty periwinkle blue creme that took 2 coats to become fully opaque. Dry time was really good and it dried to a nice glossy finish. For the swatches below I used Konad ip m78, special white polish, and SV as my tc.
Here's Grape on it's own...
What do you think about Grape? I really love this blue, but I absolutely hate my nubbins! This stamp was actually too small for my nails before, so I'm happy to be able to go stamp crazy. However, I can't do this short of length, so I will grow them out to a nice comfortable short length that I'm happy with and can still enjoy stamping. Thanks for stopping by to let me share with you :o)

Bettina Week: Animal Print Re-creation
Good Morning Babes! Today I have my version on Cristina from LTHP animal print nails from the 31 Day Challenge that she did with Rie and Sam. I was so mad at myself that I had to use pictures that have serious tip wear on them. I actually wore these nails for a few days, and I took pictures right after I finished the mani but somehow accidentally deleted them before uploading them. So these pictures are after 2 days of cooking, cleaning, washing dishes (I don't use gloves), washing mine and my daughter hair (we have A LOT of thick curly hair), and so much else. I don't keep mani's for longer than 2 days so thank God I actually looked on my computer for the pictures before removing the polish because it was already getting late and I didn't swatch at all today. I used Resort Pink Bikini on my index and thumb, Nature Ocean on my middle, and Art Deco Yellow on my ring finger. I sponged with Art Deco Purple, Nature Trees, and Resort Starfish. I used Konad ip M78 (which I didn't even know I had), and special black polish.
I shouldn't have such bad tip wear after 2 days so I'm going to try this Chi top coat that I bought a looooong time ago that's supposed to stretch your mani for a week. So I will start trying that under INM or SV to see how that works and do a review on it later. Below is a picture of the base colors which I managed to save, I would have preferred it the other way around but lesson learned :)
What do you think of my spin on the mani minus the tip wear? I got alot of compliments on it and it was really fun to do. I like Cristina's colors better (How I Met Your Magenta and Kung Fu Blue are to die) but this is Bettina week so the colors a slightly different :o) Thanks for stopping by to let me share this re-creation with you.

Pink Wednesday
Good Morning Babes and Happy Pink Wednesday. Today I have Bettina #9 which is a dusty deep muavey rose toned pink creme polish. #9 has an amazing formula just like all my other Bettina's, and was opaque in 2 thin coats. I used Konad ip M78, special white polish, and SV as my tc. Well this color looks like barf on a stick on my skin tone - FUGLY! It reminds me of the colors little old ladies get their hands and toes painted when they go to the nail shop. Don't get me wrong, the color is pretty just not on my skin tone. Of course I had a stamping fail grrrr not my Konading week.
Do you like #9 and the stamp I chose to use over it? I love pink but this isn't normally a pink I would go for which is why I chose it. Not my favorite but I promised to be completely open minded when I started blogging and to try all colors :o) Thanks for stopping by!

Pink Wednesday! Bettina #190
Good Morning Babes! For today's Pink Wednesday I used Bettina #190 and I stamped with Konad ip M56 with Konad special polish in white. #190 which I found out is also called Wild Orchid, is a dark hot pink with purple undertones, magenta? The formula was a little watery but very easy to work with, and is opaque in 2 thin coats. Dry time is very fast and it dries to a nice glossy finish. I used SV as my top coat after the stamping.
Here's a swatch of #190 on its own with no top coat. I just can't get enough of the high gloss finish of Bettina polishes! Its darker IRL than it is in the pictures.
What do you think of #190? Thanks for stopping by :)

Bettina Ocean
Good Morning Babes! Today I have Bettina Ocean from the Resort Collection. This is probably the polish that I was the most excited about because the color is so different, and I am not disappointed. For the swatches below I used 2 thin coats of Ocean, Konad plate M85 with special white polish, and topped it off with Seche. I am in love with Bettina, the formula is AMAZING, such an easy paint and dries lightning fast - like to the touch with pressure in a couple of minutes! The sun finally showed its face today so I was able to get some good pictures without having to use flash :)
And here's a swatch of Ocean by itself, check out how shiny it is with NO top coat, all the Bettina's are like that (at least the ones I've swatched so far).
Can you believe that shine?!??! There is no top coat on Ocean by itself! The stamp-icure pictures are most accurate, but this polish is absolutely beautiful and you really have to see it in person! How do you like Ocean and the stamp I chose to go with it? I didn't want to take it off!

My First Stamp-icure!
I finally sat down to give stamping a try. I was a little nervous at first because I didn't want to mess up and have to redo polish coats and that whole process again. Naturally I would try pink first :) I painted my nails with OPI's La Paz-itively Hot which is an AMAZING hot pink:
It took 3 thin coats to reach opacity. The formula is easy to work with, and has minimal cleanup. Here's a different view:
I took this picture with a flash so that you could see the blue micro glitter that shimmers on the nails. LOVE IT! Next I wanted to jazz it up so I used Konad image plate M65:
I used Konad black special polish to stamp with. When stamping you have to press the stamper on the plate very firm, and roll it evenly but very firmly on your nail to get an even consistent pattern. I messed up on my thumb nail which was the first nail that I did :( :
But after that one I learned my lesson and got the hang of it and I love it! You'll see plenty of stamping from me!
Not to shabby for my first stamp-icure!
