Did You Hear? Jodi had a Makeover

Earlier this week news was released about Jodi's makeover! Her blog that is. Originally "This That and the Other", she is now called Pleasant Home. She is having a huge celebration and drawings and serveral of her friends are participating to make it even more special! So if you haven't already been there, go visit these places.

Kitty at Fahrenheit 350 has a great blog... by the title you can guess it's food related... well, not just food but wonderful deserts! I swear I gained 3 1/2 pounds just by clicking onto her site! But it was well worth it.

and then there is Kitty's sister Pamela. Isn't that a great name for her blog? French Knots. Cute quilts to be found there!
... I saw this picture of "Booth" over at Minick and Simpson. I don't know if there was a drawing but... just in case!

Okay, here is Jodi's new button to go with her new look Pleasant Home. You know her blog is always full of fun things, great quilts, MBS and she finds the best places to go visit too. Today you will find Daffodill Hill there. She is playing also with a give-away too!

Not It!

I guess I need to confess that I have a bit of a mean streak. This is not the Schnibbles pattern that we will be working on. I ran into a friend of mine during my lunch time today... need I say where? She had just finished this little guy and is putting on the binding... so she said I could take a picture if I finished the binding for her. I hope she was kidding? I have to find out which pattern this one is.
I got my little BOM in the mail from Temecula Quilt Co.
It is so tempting...
but you know what I'll be doing this weekend.
I will be making something out of those Schnibble pieces I showed you yesterday:)
I can't wait to see it all finished!
I had to stop in and get a little card for my tea towel exchange person at out little Antique/Gift shop in town. Here is my package going out in the mail.
Thanks for stopping by blogettes. Hope you have a great weekend... it's the weekend before the big Labor Day weekend. Which, up here, is just as busy as the holiday weekend. Everybody tries to get in that last bit of camping and boating.

Long Weekends Are A Good Thing

I am back from my busy 4 day weekend! But with no pictures to show for it!
I did a fair share of running around, going to the lake, cooking & playing board games with the kids. It's been so nice! A girl can get use to having l-o-n-g weekends. Ya know what I mean?
My first disappointment was when I realized that I mailed off the very late birthday presents I made for Heidi and Becky without taking a picture to show you first.
I am so sad because they were really really cute!
I had made spa bags out of Shangra-la fabrics and matching lavender wraps to heat up and put around your neck in coordinating Shangra-la fabrics. I embellished the spa bags with some vintage white buttons too. I have made several of these in the past. In fact I think that Miss Punkie Pie had been the recipient of these goodies from me in the past. She was my "Dolka Dot" swap partner a year or so ago.
(I also made a couple of travel pillow/pillow cases and matching luggage tags for them but I am going to save those for another gift giving.)
My second discovery that I actually left my camera behind today, so if I wanted to take a picture of the spa bags I couldn't have! Dang, dang, dang it!
I
Well, I will be armed with my camera tomorrow for sure. I know that I need to show what is next on my to do list for the Charmimg Girls Quilt Club... even though I didn't make the deadline for July's project... that's alright because I can count it in the August "finishes".
