We’re On The Hop Again – Do I Smell Candy????

Welcome to the Wild Rose Studio FESTIVE FROLICS Blog Hop :-)

Dulcie, the designer and owner of the Wild Rose Studio, has recently released some gorgeous new Christmas stamps and we thought we would celebrate with a hop to show you the new designs and also give you a chance to win some of these lovely stamps too :-)

And you can check out all of the new Christmas Designs right here.

And if you fancy joining in with the Festive Frolics theme, you will have a chance to win this FABULOUS Grand Prize. You don't even  have to use a Wild Rose Studio image,  but if you have one we would love to see it :-)

AND there will be candy at every stop along the way.

All you have to do is make a Christmas card/creation and link it with the Linky on the Wild Rose Studio Blog
You have until Monday 17th October 9 am UK time ( 8 am CET ) to join in :-)

So let’s start the hop peeps.

If you arrived here from the sweetness that is Dulcie’s Blog which is The Wild Rose Studio Blog,  then you are in the right place and going in the right direction, but if not, nip back to the Wild Rose Studio Blog to start the hop :)

So what did I do then?

Picture 009c copy

Well I went with a lilac and grey theme and I used this cute lil fella here …..

Picture 013c copy

His name is Pickle (awww) and he is one of the new releases.
I coloured him with Copics in these colours ..

BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV02, BV04, BV13, C00, C1, C3, C5, R11, R20.., Y15. Y35,

Not sure if you can just about make it out but I added a bit of Glossy Accents under his foot to make it look like he was skating on ice :)

Picture 012c copy

The papers I used are from the oh so talented and also very lovely Summer Driggs (this special lady creates these lovely kits and gives them to us all to use completely free – thank you Summer x) .

I used papers from the Dryer Lint At Tiffany's kit.

And guess what else I used again!!

Oh yes, I still cannot help myself and the old  Magnolia leaf and swirl die had made another appearance.
Poor thing is SOOO overworked!!!

And that pretty ribbon is 25mm large check purple ribbon  which I topped off with a sparkly button and both are from The Ribbon Girl

Picture 010c copy

Picture 011c copy

So that’s my card all done.

I had a great time at Port Sunlight on Saturday and hello to the lovely ladies who came to say hi :) Phew it was busy!!!
More about it tomorrow.

Ok now on with the hoppity hop!!

From here you need to hop over to the lovely Sarpreet’s Blog to continue your journey

If you would like a chance to win your very own Pickle Skating  then please make sure you leave a comment on all the DT blogs AND make a card with the Festive Frolics theme, which you will need to link with the linky HERE :-)

Thanks for looking , hope you enjoy the hop and good luck to all :-)

Have the best day and I’ll see you tomorrow and huggiest of hugs to all; xxx

Picture 004c

Morning peeps and hope everyone is well xxx

Firstly a huge thank you to everyone who entered the LOTV candy, and the winner is ..

Doc1

… you Di :).

Ping me an email with your snail mail addy chick and I’ll get the stamp off to you soon as soon xxx There’ll be more candy very soon  so stay tuned :)

OK, today over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge our Bev has done a sketch for us ….

.. it’s this one here and it’s fab :)

Picture 015c copy

I thought I’d do this a bit different today.

I had a couple of emails  saying that putting the pics on of the stuff I used with a direct link to where you can get it is really helpful, so I’ve cut the waffle from this bit and will leave you to look at the cardie pics in peace and I’ve put all the clicky piccies with links at the end. I’m calling them clinkies lol!!!

But I’ll leave the Copics bit here and the ones I used here are  ..

E00, E21. R11, R20 (skin), E42, E50 (hair), Coo, C1, C3, C5, BV0000, Bv00, BV02, YR0000,

Picture 001caa

Gorge blooms and ruffled gingham ribbon :)

I punched some circles to create the scalloped edge.

Picture 003c

Pretty poppies

Picture 001copy

I love this ruffled gingham and it’s perfect for going round curved edges, but it would look just as nice as a frilly border.

Picture 013c

Yes, it’s still on the desk.

I must get round to putting it away . I’ll be using it in the workshop on Saturday so after that maybe I’ll give it a little rest lol!!!

Picture 014

Are these not oh so pretty!!!

Picture 002c

And that’s me card done peeps.

So as I said earlier, here’s the clinkies  …..

Cookin’ Up A Bit Of Brightness :)

Picture 007c copy

Morning peeps and hope you are OK and especially your eyes after this post today lol. Sadly the weather doesn't quite match up to the brightness today as it is a bt on the grey side – a bit  like Tildas troosers

OK shades on peeps !!!

Over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge today we have a nice little recipe challenge for you and it is

1 Image
2 Patterned Papers (+ plain card for layering)
3 Different Types of Embellishment

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

It’s a fab prize for sure :)

Picture 001c copy

And here’s me dazzle-tastic card!!

So for my 1 image …..

I coloured the Sneaky Tilda  image with Copics  in these colours -

E00, E21. R11, R20 (skin), E42, E50 (hair), Coo, C1, C3, C5, RV0000, Rv00, RV10, Y38,YR0000, YR68

and the sharp eyes will notice that these are mostly from the same list as yesterday and there is a good reason for that peeps …. yes, I had yet another senior moment and put the wrong list up yesterday – doh, sorry chicks!!!

The 2  papers are both freebies by the very beautiful Summer Driggs xxx

And the 3 embellies  I used are …

Picture 005c copy

**Prima CRAFTABLE FLOWERS 544010 WHITE

I  coloured some with with Copics and then assembled them as per this YouTube tutorial I think they look fab and ohhh so easy to do!!

Picture 006c copy

Then I added a bit of ribbon and there’s a sneaky bit of the old Tilda Lace Die (which you can get over at the Simon Says Stamp Store)  peeping out :) ….

Picture 008c copy

… and finally I added some bling which I also coloured with Copics.

Cutest LOTV Bunny Sneak Peek & A Lil Bit Of Candy 4U xxx

Picture 008c copysmall

Hi lovelies and hope you are all OK xxx

Can I just say a huge thank you to everyone who left a comment yesterday or sent me an e-mail re my new DT post. You have no idea how much this has meant to me and I just want to let you all know how much I truly do appreciate your kind words xxxx

Today over at the Lili Of The Valley Thursday challenge our theme is

Circles

so we just want to see something round on your card – how easy is that:)

And there is a £10 voucher up for grabs

plus some fab DT cards and quite a few of the girlies have used the new release images which are are going on sale on Wednesday 9th March at 9am (UK Time).

There are some verrry cute mice in this release plus a lil elephant and as always they are all oh so sweet :)

Picture 002cc copysmall

I used this bunny image which is called Gift Wrapped – awwww.

I remembered NOT to chuck out the Copics list today – not that many on it – and I used

C00, C1, C3, C5, RV0000,m RV000, RV10, YG0000

Picture 006c copysmall

I have had this old punch for years – it was one of the first I ever bought – and I still like it. I think it might be a Woodware punch but I wouldn't swear to it!!

Picture 007c copysmall

A yummy double bow made with some gorgeous seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The pearl in the middle was part of one of them pre-done arrangement thingies and I thought it was a bit big so I cut it off  :(

It came in very handy methinks!!!

Picture 009c copysmall

See that lovely grey that I used on the nestie and to mat the DP?

Well it was from the Paper Mill Shop and it’s actually paper - I love the texture ;)

There’s a tiny bit of Martha’s PATP Eyelet Lace Punch just peeping out – Tracy at Dies To Die For has these in stock and the DP is from one of Summer Driggs collections that she so generously gives to us completely free of charge (thank you Summer xxx). These are from the Dryer Lint At Tiffanys collection.

Fab aren’t they!!!

And talking of fab, we mustn’t forget the self adhesive pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts

So that’s my card de jour peeps.

I did say that I had a bit more candy for you and today it is …..

janloveteddyromeodbl[1]ed

… this little poppet here.

So as always if you fancy giving him a new home, all you have to do is leave your name with good old kinky Linky and I’ll pick a winner this time next week. Well I say I will but of course I wont cos I leave that to Mr Random Boy!!!

So on that note I’ll be off and I’ll see you tomoz with something Tilda-ish (it will be Tilda for sure cos my new Spring kit has arrived and I could not resist inking it up)!!

Huggiest of hugs to all and have a great day xxx

Hearty (& VERRRY Quick) Papertake :)

Picture 005c copy

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK xxx

This is a shortie post today, both in terms of the amount of waffle (hurray I hear you cry!!) and also in terms of the time it took to make this card.

Over at Papertake Weekly, our theme is

Have A Heart

so we just want to see something heart shaped somewhere on your card.

1Picture 001c copy copy

So my gorge Lili Of The Valley image has some hearts on it and there is a pink heart on the ribbon as well.

Now when I say this was easy and quick, it’s a bit of an understatement,  cos I reckon it took about 15 minutes and that is QUICK for me cos usually I am soooooooooo  slllllllooooooooooowwwwwww!!!

There’s not a Copic in sight today cos I used one of the LOTV cute squares which are coloured so beautifully.

All I did was add a little bling.

And if you wanted to make this ultra special, all you would need to do is to cut off the back of the card and stick the front onto an 8 x 8 white card blank.

Picture 007c copy

This is so easy to do and really quick as well.

And all these beautiful blooms are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The paper is by Summer Driggs and is from her Dryer Lint At Tiffanys collection - how cool is that name!!! And this very beautiful lady gives her collections totally free for us to use.

Thank you Summer, you are as lovely as you are talented :) xxx

Picture 006c copy Y

Yes, you are not seeing things.

The  MS Doily punch is back.

You didn't think I’d gotten rid of it or just stuck it in the bottom of a draw did you?

Well OK, it WAS in the bottom of a draw – shame on me- but I thought I’d bring it out of retirement today.

Picture 003c copy

Only one side view today cos the other pic was total and utter pants!!!

Picture 008c copy

And of course the dodgy angle one to finish.

So that’s my quickie card – hope you liked it peeps :)

I’ve had quite  a  lovely day today.  I had lunch with a lady of many  years who was a Holocaust survivor and one of the sweetest, most interesting and genuine people I have ever met.  She has touched me in so many ways and our conversation will stay with me for a long long time. You don't often meet people like that who really do connect with you. She and I have spoken many times on the phone but today was the first time we met. And it was nice.

Then it was another first cos I had another fab conv, this time with our very own Lols. It’s the first time we have actually spoken although we do have cyber chats. And she is just as nice as I thought she would be, She and I are going to meet for sure one of these days.  And it will be fab :)

So on that note I am off to catch up with some bits and bobs while I await his Lordships return from work. I feel a bit guilty cos I had a slap up lunch and he had a jacket spud.

Poor beggar!!

I gather from the odour that greeted me when I got home that this may have been a slightly back jacket spud as well.

Ahhhhh, bless him.

Have a great evening peeps and see you soon if not sooner and hugs to all xxx
