A Cute Sneakie Peekie Teddy : )

Good morning peeps  - brrrrrrr it’s brass monkey weather here today.
Hope it’s a bit warmer where you are!!

It’s time for another visit to
Papertake Weekly and our theme today is

Get In Shape.

No we don't want you to all rush off to the gym!!
We just want you to use 3 or more different shapes on your card or project and your base card counts as one.

So….

.. this is what I did and I went for a square (base card), a rectangle (the papers and image) and hearts – easy peasy.

The sweet little teddy is one of the brand new release from
Lili of The Valley which is due out 31st January.
These are on a clear sheet – something a bit different – and are amazing value as there’s lots on that sheet…..

2015bears

…. as you can see.

I coloured this little sweetie with Copics ion the following colours -

E31, E33, E35, E39, E50, RV0000, RV00, RV10, RV34, Y11, Y21, Y28

It is so simple to colour, it really is and by changing the colour of the balloon, you could use this for male and female.
It’s suitable for so many different occasions as well : )

The papers are all Lili of The Valley and are from Country Gent, Always & Forever Solids and Pastel Dreams paper pads.

I covered one of Mary Ribbon Girl’s wooden hearts with paper then inked and sanded back the edges which was a complete waste of time because I then went and covered them with Stickles !!

The bow is made from brown grosgrain ribbon and I topped it with a wooden heart button and string.

The sentiment is from the Sentiments to Fit Scroll set.
Dope that I am forgot to use one from the sheet.
Doh!!!.

So that’s me done for today.
If you get a sec, do nip over and check out the PTW cardage – much loveliness to be seen there – and also keep your eye on the LOTV DT blogs as we will be doing more sneakie peekie over these next weeks.

Have a fabulous day and stay warm and toastie and huggiest of hugs to all xx

What A Sneakie Peekie Lovely Pair :)

Picture-006web

Hi there possums and hope you are all OK today :)

I'm sharing the card that I did for yesterday's challenge over at Papertake Weekly which is

Die-ing For A Punch

and all we want to see is, well, dies and punches and either / or is fine.

So I thought I'd combine the challenge with another sneakie peekie from the soon to be released Lili of the Valley Christmas images - you will be able to get these tomorrow and we do hope that you enjoyed the blog hop yesterday (there may still be time to enter if you're quick).

So ...

Picture-001wrebw

.. here's my card and I used

Festive Post

I have to apologise again for these pics.
My camera is majorly playing up and I think it's time to bin it - it keeps putting a shadow on the pics that isn't there IRL, grrrr!!!

Anyway I coloured the images in these Copics -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02
Hair - E31, E35, E50, E98, E99
The rest - BV000, BV00, BV01, BV02, BV13, C00, C1, C2, C3,  C4, C7, E30, W41, E42, E43, E50, G99, YG00, YG03, YG95

I used papers from 2 of the 8x8 paper pads - Frosty Christmas and Promises. I think the blues and lilacs work really well together, especially for cold and frosty Christmas cards :)

Picture-004web

I do quite like using dies etc in ways that are a bit different and this Magnolia fence die is great for bending!! I also got the old ribbler out - it's pretty ancient but it still does the trick. You can't really see the corrugated effect in the main pic cos of the light but it shows up better here.

The sentiment is from the LOTV sentiments to fit scroll set but they look fab on their own as well - I just love that font, and the words are perfect to go with this image :)

Picture-005web

A pretty double bow made from mauve lilac seam binding and topped off with three silver jingle bells - they are the jingliest jangliest bells ever, and of course both of these are from The Ribbon Girl

You can just about see 2  white holly leaves (it's called artistic licence I think lol) tucked behind the bow and I punched them using one of the best holly punches about - the Super Duper Holly Punch which I got from Janice at Sir Stampalot.

Picture-002web

Picture-003web

So there we are all done and if you want to take part in the blog hop, you can see it all right here.

I hope you've enjoyed the sneak peeks and that you've picked your faves - I still haven't to be honest cos I like them all!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Nauti(cal) but Nice :)

Hello possums and hope you are all OK today - phew it's another scorcher!!!

It's that time of the week when we catch up with our friends in the US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge  but vefore moving onto the new theme we have an announcement to make ,,,,

We've Moved ...

and here is our fab new logo ...

Please update your bookmarks with our new address
 http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/
and change the logo and link on your sidebar, if you have it on there :)

So our theme for this week's challenge  is

By The Sea

and this week the DT are showcasing Fancy Pants Products
You don't have to use them of course, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

And as always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

Picture-001web

I used Fancy Pants Down by The Shore 6" paper pad - perfect for this challenge.

And I just HAD to use one of my new Magnolia stamps  ...

Picture-007web

... and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02
Hair – E31, E35, E39, E50
The rest – B0000, B000, B00, B12, B93, B95, B97, C00, C1, C3, C4, R02, R05, R17, R27. R59

I stuck it down onto a pretty circle  which was die cut using a Spellbinders BEADED CIRCLES Nestabilities and then did a bit of stitching around the image which quite  frankly scared me as it took me a while to colour he in and I was a tad nervous that I would go a bit wonky!!!

What a scaredy cat!!!!

BTW, if you get a sec do nip over and check out the DTY cardage because they are STUNNING. Not that they aren't always but this week I thought they were amazing :)

Picture-004web

I used 2 border dies here -  a Spellbinders A2 CURVED BORDERS 1 One Borderabilities Card Creator Die and a Spellbinders CLASSIC SCALLOP Edgeabilities Die.

You can probably tell but I LOVE these dies :)

Picture-005web

I decided that I'd layer up 4 sets of Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember™ RIBBON BANNER Craft Die S118. I stuck the navy, red and white ones together with glue, just offsetting them slightly ....

Picture-006web

... , and then added the pale blue one using foam pads.

Picture-002web

Picture-003web

So that's me all done for today.

I will be back tomorrow with my Papertake card and apols for being late but time just ran away with me yesterday.

Have the best day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Black & White & Red All Over (Or Maybe Just A Hint of Red!!)

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK and having a nice week so far xxx.

It's that time of the week when we nip across the pond and join our friends in the jolly old US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Anything Goes

This week, the DT are showcasing Impression Obsession.
You don't have to use them to join in of course, but we would love to see them if you have any :-)

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

  Picture-005web

... I did another black and white and red card cos I LOVE these colours together :)

The image is from the Penny Black Clear Stamps LOADS OF LOVE stamp set. Although it's ostensibly a Valentines set, I think the images are just as good for other occasions and I do like sets that are multi useful.

Picture-009web

I coloured the little hedgie with these Copics -

Hedgie - C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, E50, R02
Heart = R05, R17, R27, R29

They are soooo easy to colour.

 Picture-008web

The papers are from a Bazzill LICORICE 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack and I used a Spellbinders CLASSIC SCALLOP Edgeabilities Die to create the border.

Picture-006web

The little pearls started out as ....

*Hero Arts 36 Count 5mm MEDIUM ACCENT PEARLS ch137

... these.
But I added a touch of Copics R27 and they were transformed into nice shiny red ones :)

Picture-007web

Right so that's me done for today and I'll be back soon as soon with maybe a little sneakie peekie or 2!!!

Enjoy your day and if you get a sec, nip over and check out the challenge.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

 Picture-001web

I did another Springie thingie and I used Tilda Watering - she is from the Magnolia Little Easter 2013 collection

Before I get to the bits and bobs that I used, I am so pleased to say that this card and the one I did last week for the challenge have been featured on the Simon Says Stamp blog today. Steph has done a feature called Marvellous Magnolia Stamps - you can see it right here - and she asked me if I would like to do some cards for it.

Well did I ever - whoop whoop!!!

Thank you sweet Steph for asking me - I am so chuffed to see my work on the blog :)

Picture-006web

I coloured Tilda with the following Copics -

Skin -  E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02
Hair - E41, E42, E43, E39, E50
The rest - B0000, B000, B00. B02, B97, G99, R00, R02, R05, R27, R59, YG0000, YG00, YG23

The papers are from a Bazzill Avalon 6x6 paper pack.

Picture-004web

I made the flowers using my Magnolia DOILY FLOWERS Doohickeys Cutting Dies

and ...

Picture-005web

... the border was made using an E8-001 Spellbinders CLASSIC SCALLOP Edgeabilities Die

I also used some used Hero Arts  42 Light Green Accent Pearls - what a pretty colour :)

Picture-002web

Picture-003web

So that's the old card done for today.

I hope you like it and if you get a sec nip over and check out the Magnolia feature. There's a brand new Magnolia line out now called Once Upon A Time, and you can see it on all it's glory.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and I'll see you back here soon as soon.

Take care and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

BINGO & Thieving Beggars :)

Hi sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today :)
What a few days we've had - more later.

Firstly, it’s time to nip across the pond and join our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Sketch 1                                                                                     Sketch 2

We are showcasing  Art Impressions products this week.
You don't have to use them of course , but if you have them we would love to see them.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

So ….

 Picture-002web

... here's what I did.
I went with sketch 1 - I played a bit fast and loose with it as Mrs Kath would say!!

Picture-006web

Is this not a fab image!!!

She's called Bingo Jean and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair - E07, E09, E97
The rest - Black, C00, C04, C7, R05, E50, R27, YR0000, YR00, YR01, YR23

Picture-005web

The papers are My Mind's eye Lime Twist and the dies I used are a Magnolia PEONY PETALS Doohickey Cutting Die and a Spellbinders CLASSIC SCALLOP Edgeabilities Die.

I also added a little stamen made with a Nellie Snellen STAMEN Floral Punch.

Picture-003web

Picture-004web

So that's the old card done.

Well it's been a funny few days here because on Saturday night (or rather 2.30 am Sunday morning) we were woken up by the sound of some low life trying to jemmy off our patio door!! They had tried the back door and got nowhere with it and then decided to try and get the patio door off and get in that way. I really do think they thought the house was unoccupied because although our cars were here, our upstairs and downstairs curtains were not drawn (yes, very stupid of us I know).

And they were not exactly quiet.

I ran to the window just in time to see a shadow disappearing but by the time we got downstairs they had gone. The patio door was starting to hang off so with a bit more work they would have been in. I think the sound of Daisy Golightly here bounding across the floor to the window must have disturbed them (and if I had gotten my hands on them I would have done more than disturb them, I can tell you).  We have recently put a new wooden floor into our bedroom and you can hear anybody moving over it downstairs. Thankfully the dinks were not here because that really would have completely freaked me out.

The police came and they were going to send in tracking dogs but as it was raining, it wouldn't really have been prudent, so basically they got away. But that said,  they actually got away with nothing!! But they've left behind one very nervous piggy now so we have really gone to town on our security systems and have new cameras installed that enable us to monitor what is going on around our property from anywhere in the world. It's expensive but it's a small price to pay for more peace of mind.

I get so angry when I think that these thieving toe rags would rather come and nick from people who have worked hard to get what they have rather than get off their (all too often drug addled) arses and find a job - 'scuse the French!! I have been reading all about it and most burglars say that it doesn't matter if they steal from us because we are insured. They do not take into account the legacy they leave their victims with. The irony of it all is that although we do have a nice house, we don't actually have that much in here because we aren't that materialistic. And if they had gone in my craft room and saw the tip it is in at the mo, then God knows what they'd have thought!!

In a way it has been a blessing because it has forced us to review the situation, and also it could have been much worse. Apart from 2 damaged doors and 2 even more shaken up people, there was no real harm done and we got off very lightly. The police think our house was being watched for a few days and I did tell my my card club ladies on Monday night that I had been a bit uneasy about a car that was parked nearby. I made out that I was taking down their number and they actually reversed back when they saw me doing this. It may have been just a coincidence but I don't suppose we will ever know.

Anyway that's me done for today.
Have the fabbiest of days and see you soon as soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
