Little Pink Toes

Aww, one of the things I love making are new baby cards.

So I was really happy to see the new Tonic Studios Special Occasions Baby Layering Frame set.
And this is what I made with it.

This could easily be made for a little boy just by changing the colour (natch!!).

The dies actually do the work for you - you just have to layer them up!!

But I noticed something else with them .....

... and that is that the sentiment outside edge (the one in kraft here) makes a cracking template to ink around to make sweet little clouds :)

A LOT of mileage from this, I'm sure.

I used the Mint Macaroon ink from the Dream in Colour trio and I love the effect it gave.

I also loved the tiny little feet in the frame :)

So that's me done for today.

As always, I've put my affilaite links to the some of the products I've used below. I wasn't able to find the frame dies on the USA site (sorry xx)  but I've linked to what I can.

Take care and stay safe and well and I'll see you soon.

What's White and a Bit Sparkly?

Hello lovelies - I've been a bit of a slacker for a couple of days. Well I haven't really, I've just had a lot of work on my desk which I needed to focus on.

But I hope you are all safe and well.

So the card I'm sharing today was made using the new Tonic Studios Special Occasions dies which are available over at Create and Craft or if you want to hang on, you'll be able to get them from Tonic or other retailers from 4th December, so not long now.

I've added my affiliate links at the bottom so if this is something you'd like,  you can always nip over and leave your email address so you can be notified when they will ship.

For this card, I used just the largest outside edge die to create the card base, and the centre sentiment bit from the die set.

You may have noticed that it's a bit sparkly!!
Well that's because I added quite a bit of bling to it in the form of glitter.

Just to give you the heads up, Tonic have a huge sale on at the mo for all things sparkly and shiny - loads of serious bargains to be had. And again, my affiliate links to that bit on the websites are below - honestly it's worth a peek!!

I went around the edge of the frame with a glue pen.
The tip of the glue pen is perfect for this and you get a nice straight edge.

The glitter strips are just strips of double sided tape laid over the card, the backing tape removed and the glitter sprinkled on.

I think glitter card can be expensive so why not make your own!!

Finally I just went around the edge of the framed bit with some Nuvo Drops.

So there's the card and I hope you like it.
You could easily change up the colours and it'd give you a completely different look.

Right, I better get back to my shed.
Not sure if I told you this but since I am now retired and officially a layabout, I've treated myself to a crafty space in the form of a summer house.

Well that's what the sales bods called it.
I call it my shed.

If I ever get it tidy, I'll take pics and share!!

Take care and please stay safe and well. I think there's light at the end of the Covid tunnel for us all so we just have to hang on in there.

Huggiest of hugs xx

A Little Cutie :)

Hello lovelies and hope you are all OK today.

I'm sharing another card made using the new Special Occasions dies and I've done something a little bit different here.

So you can see the balloon die here.
It's verso so there's an outside and inside edge and what I did was cut the outside edge from scrap card and used it as a template for the clouds.

I literally just inked around part of the edge and then moved the die cut and repeated.

Really simple but it's another way to use the dies.

Those little baby feet, awww they're so sweet.

These are the dies and I used the Baby Set.
The sentiment is included - not sure if you can see it on this pic?

 So that's the card done.

I'll be back soon with some more cardage but until then, have a lovely day and stay safe xx

Special Day

Hello lovelies and hope you are all OK today.

I'm sharing a card I made using the brand new Tonic Studios Special Occasions Die sets. These are still on 30 day exclusive over at Create and Craft and they will be available direct from Tonic and other retailers after this.

But it is a bit of inspiration until then.

There are 3 different sets here and I used the Anniversary set.

You could use this for other occasions though, not just anniversaries, although it's pretty darn tooting good for those.

And this is the sentiment I used - again it's on 30 days at Create and Craft.

I really like the deep red with the gold here.
It'd be nice for a Ruby Anniversary.

You could use this sentiment for other occasions such as a wedding.

So that's my card for today and hope you like it.

Now, I have a huge favour to ask you.

I have a giveaway planned for my blog subscribers - I said I'd do this when I got the blog up and running again. But I'm not  sure if the way I used to do this will still work.

Could somebody, anybody just leave me a comment, even if it says 'test'. If you come here and see one there, then don't worry because I only need one to know that I can do the giveaway like this.  If it doesn't work I'll have to find another way.

Right, that's me for today.

Take care and stay safe and well.

Huge hugs xxx
