Chicky Chicky Cheep Cheep :)

Hello my lovelies and hope you are all OK today and that you had a nice weekend.

I'm sharing a nice bright and sunny little Easter card which I made using the Tonic Studios Egg-Cellent Easter showcase set.

There's chicks, bunnies, hats, eggs etc etc and loads and loads of cuteness in that set and there's dies and stamps so a lot going on..

I've popped my affiliate links below so you can have a nosey if you want.

I made the striped background using Nuvo alcohol pens, double sided tape and glitter.

I've put together a step by step tutorial over on the Tonic blog which shows you how to do this, and also how to colour the chickadee and put the card together and you can see that  here

There's also a YouTube video which runs through the kit and there's more samples for using the showcase there, plus a tutorial on putting a sweet little pop up card together.

Right, I'm off to the shed. It's a busy week for me so I need to make a start., The fire is on already in there and it should be nice and toasty now.

Have a great week and stay safe and well xxx

These Colours ..... Lush!!

Hello lovelies and Happy New year - woohoo it's 2021!!

I thought I'd share a card I made using the new Tonic Studios Decadent Swirls Showcase set of dies. Now this is a set and a half - so much in it.

I've also done a video which shows you the dies, some ideas for using them and a tutorial where we put one together.

You can find that here -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZozpKVD91No&feature=youtu.be

Apols for the quality of the video btw - I had had a stinker of a cold and I'm not at my finest should we say lol.

I used a glitter marker to paint the detail with, but not in the usual way though.

What I did was scribble a bit on my mat then added a tiny drop of water and then picked it with a paintbrush. Then once it was dry. I added a bit of gold embellishment mousse over the top.

I should just say that I cut the detail out of watercolour card - it's better if you are going to add any kind of medium I've found.

The middle bit of the card - the centre that look blue and grey - was cut from watercolour card and then spritzed with Nuvo Peacock Plume Sparkle Spray. It's heavenly stuff and the colour is so rich and a little goes a very long way.

I spritzed the card with the spray then repeated just using plain old water. It dilutes the colour in places and gives a beautiful effect I think.

The little gemstones I used are Tonic but they are quite old now (a bit like me lol) and they are no longer stocked by Tonic, but you can get them on Amazon etc, or you could just substitute them with Nuvo Drops or other little gems.

Right I better be off.

I hope you are managing to stay safe and well and healthy and I'll see you again son. Until then, take care and crafty hugs to all xx

Take care and stay safe and well xx

My affiliate links are here in case you want a mooch.
It's worth a check out lovelies because there's a lot on sale at the mo, the Sparkle Spray for example.
