Just Peachy

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx.

It's that time of the week when we catch up with our friends in the US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Things With Wings

This week, the DT are showcasing Studio Calico products.
You don't have to use them, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

 Picture-001web

Well I went all peachy :)

Sometimes the simplest of cards turn out nice and I'm quite pleased with this one.

The papers are  for a 6x6 Studio Calico Autumn Press paper pad,  and check this out .......

 Picture-006web

... it's Studio Calico Autumn Press Scrap Tissue Trim

*Studio Calico AUTUMN PRESS Scraps Tissue Trim TT002

It's absolutely gorgeous - it's so delicate and pretty and a snip at $2.99.
I added a sentiment printed onto Safmat onto it so it's quite robust as well.

 Picture-004web

The flower is from this pack .....

*Prima Flowers AU NATURALE B 562656

... of Prima Flowers Au Naturale blooms.
They are really tactile and I liked them so much I almost didn't want to use them.

Only another crafter would understand that of course!!!!

 Picture-005web

And the things with wings on my card today are these sweet little Studio Calico Autumn Press Butterflies Chip Shapes

Picture-002web

Ohh I just HAD to use one of me Spellbinders A2 CURVED BORDERS 1 One Borderabilities Card Creator Dies again.

Nice isn't it :)

Picture-003web

So there we are for today.

I'm off to do the prep for a Copics one day workshop that I'm doing with Wendy on Sunday at Happy Stampers North West. But of course, we have Port Sunlight on Saturday so if you are going, come over to the Lili of The Valley stand and say hello.

I just noticed that I must have knocked these pointy endy things on the main pic when I was doing the photos.
They were straight when I'd finished the card, honest (I would tell you if they weren't - you know me!!).

But wonky or not, I likes 'em!!

Picture-005web

Where would I be without my old friend Safmat :)

Have you noticed that I did a bit of paper pricking on this card?
I've never done it before - you can probably tell that cos it isn't quite perfect but I'll do better next time.

Note to self ... must try harder :)

Picture-002web

Picture-003web

I thought I'd turn this dodgy angle pic round so that the other side than usual is nearest.
Just for a change, like you do!!

Right I'm off to do some work.
Have the best day me darlins and see you soon.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Sneakie Peeking Back To My Old Style!!

Picture-005web

Morning sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx

I've got a sneaky peekie for you today of one of the brand new Lili of The Valley release which will be available from 6th April and there really is something for everyone on this release :) There's cute, there's flowers and there's even a bit of ooh la la!!Keep an eye on the DT blogs between now and then and you will be able to see the new stuff and choose your faves.

The image I used is called

It Takes Two

and it's part of the Jack, Patch and Puss images.
I think it's adorable - it caught my eye as soon as I saw the images and I just itched it colour it.

And now I have lol!!!

Picture-001web

I used Copics and these are the colours -

Puss - E35, E39, Y15, Y17, Y38, YR04, YR07, YR16, YR20, YR68
Patch - E31, E33, E35, E39, E49, E50.
Cake - E35, E50, Y15, Y17

You'll get to meet Jack soon as I will be doing another sneak peek which features him :)

The papers are from the gorgeous Nitwits Hello Sunshine collection.

Picture-004web

Why have one bow when you can have two!!!!

I used 15mm small check brown gingham, 15mm orange delight no 42 satin and a medium black polka dot button, all from The Ribbon Girl

Picture-002web

Good old Safmat again :)
I'd be lost without that stuff!!!

Picture-003web

I am really pleased with how this turned out.
It's very much my old style before I got addicted to the embellies and all the edge inking malarky.

Will I go back there?

Who knows.
I think you just have to go with what you are feeling at the time, and some images will guide you the right way I think.

Before I dash off,  just a quickie to say that I am doing some more workshops over at LOTV on 6th April. We have Beginner's Stamping in the morning where we will cover stamping basics such as which inks to use, how to get a good crisp image etc etc so if you are new / newish to all this stamping stuff, or even if you are just looking to improve then is is the workshop for you. And then in the afternoon,we will have another colouring sesh.  Why not make a day of it and do both :) You'll have time to nip upstairs for a scone or some cake in between. And if you are coming over, you can get your mitts on the new stuff as well. Deets are on the website here.

Right I'm off.

The Crime Prevention bods are coming over so I need to do some work before they get here. Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Birthday Blues :)

Hi there lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx

Yayyy, finally it has stopped raining and there is a nice blue sky instead of the horrible grey mucky one that we’ve had for the last week or so. Rich is still on leaf patrol, bless him, but at least today they aren't quite as soggy and he has managed to clear the front garden For how long though is anybody's guess cos there are still leaves on the tress and they have to go somewhere when they fall off !!!

So it’s that time of the week when we head across the water and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week we have an

Anything  Goes

theme so it’s time to let rip with your creativity thingies!!!

This week we are showcasing Martha Stewart products . If you have them we would love to see them but it's not compulsory to use them if you want to join in :-)

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here (lucky girlie!!)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did.

Again, like me, the layout is fairly simple!!!
There’s no colouring involved so it’s super quick to put together, which we like of course :)

    Picture 004 copy

I've used  a Martha Stewart DECO FAN Shells Punch Around The Page and started out with a 6x6 blue card base. I punched along the bottom edge and then put a piece of 6x6 white card inside and glued it down. Then I cut another of piece of 6x6 card and trimmed about 1/2” off of the bottom edge, punched that and stuck it down on top of the card. Finally I punched a strip of blue card, trimmed it to 6” long, wrapped some ribbon round it and stuck that down onto the front of the card.

Picture 005 copy

The bloom was made using a set of Magnolia Doily Flower dies  and a Martha Stewart BRANCH Craft Punch.
Then I made a rolled rose to sit in the centre and added a bit of glitter and a gem.

Picture 006 copy

The frame was made using a Memory Box TIFFANY FRAME Craft DIE  - isn’t it pretty - and I printed the sentiment onto SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film and put it in the centre of the frame.

Picture 002 copy

 Picture 003 copy

And that’s it.

Well girls, we live to drool another day cos the delish that is Dishy Dave is still in – I have a sneaky feeling that he will win it!! I was a bit sad to see old Rosie go because she is a loud, bossy, jolly hockey sticks sort of gal I know but I quite like her. She tells it how it is and she comes across as basically a good person as well. She wasn't so lady like when she was doing the bottom burp thing with Limahl thought was she!! I laughed so much that I nearly peed my draws!!

Not sure who will go tonight – maybe Hugo or Eric? We’ll see.

Right I have to go because I have to don my Santa hat and reply to the letters that Kyla sent to him on behalf  of her and Thea. Kyla is still a bit scared of him because she is frightened of anybody who is dressed up if she doesn't know them. Last year Em had trouble getting her to sleep because she was so afraid he was coming into the house. Poor little sausage :(  I’m not sure where she thought he would leave her toys!!!! She isn't so scared that she won't do a list as long as your arm for him with what she wants on it though!!

I am hoping that Thea isn't scared so that I can get to take her to Lapland  – purely for selfish reasons of course lol!! . I’ve waited all my life to do this and sod’s law that I end up with a Kyla kid that hates his guts!! Well she doesn’t hate him but she won’t go near him!! So Thea is my last chance really, heeheeeee!!!

Right I best dash because I have shed loads to do today. I’ll be back tomoz with a card that is very VERY different so I’ll say tarra and see you then.

Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Simon Says …. You’re Late You Naughty Piggy!!!!!

(they didn’t really lol but it’s  true so gazillions of apols xxx!!)

So hi there lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It’s that time of the week when we head across the water and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week and as it’s very nearly Thanksgiving in the jolly old US of A, our theme this week is

Thanksgiving / Thank You

so it’s self explan really, and for those of us who don't celebrate we can make a Thank You card / creation instead.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here (lucky girlie!!)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did.

I just realised that I used the same colour theme for last week. I must be in an apricot sort of mood!!!

The papers are gorge Basic Grey WHAT'S UP 6 x 6 Cardstock and I just die cut a heart shape using the largest Spellbinders Nestabilities CLASSIC HEART 6 Die and layered it up using dimensionals.

I had a bit of a mishap (surely not I hear you cry!!) because this was the second attempt.

I have sort of started inking up the edges of practically everything (I blame Debi at Crab Apple Crafts!). So I am merrily inking away when the paper slipped and I ended up with a nice big brown streak across the paper.  Well this is not at all attractive as you can imagine,  so I had to start again – doh!!!

Picture 004 copy

I topped one of the fab Prima Craftable blooms with some Hero Arts 24 Flowers SUNSHINE PRINT CH206 Orange blooms. Then I had a little die cutting sesh with the Memory Box Delicate Fern die and of course the leaf bit from the Magnolia leaf and swirl die set.

 Picture 005 copy

Now where would we be without SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film???

I really do love this stuff and use it all the time. If you’ve never used it, go and and have a go – you will be hooked!!! Yopu juts print out whatever you want onto it, cut around the printed bit, remove the backing sheet and put it onto your card.  A quick rub and the film becomes practically invisible.

Awesome!!!

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the old card done and I’ll be back soon as soon with some more cardage. If you get a sec, nip over and check out the challenge – and if you fancy joining in we would love to see you there :)

Have the fabbiest day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
