Little Blossom

007 copy_thumb[10]

Good morning sweet peeps, and a very happy Thursday to everybody x

It’s my turn to host the post over at the DTDF Cutey Crafts blog and the card I’m sharing today features the little cutie above.

001 copy_thumb[5]

She is CC Designs - Pollycraft – Blossom and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E13, R00, R02
Hair – E31, E35, E39, E50
The rest – B63, BG0000, BG10, BG15, R00, R02, R05, YG00

The papers are from the new Echo Park - Simple Life - Dots & Stripes 6 x 6 Pad.
I LOVE these colours together
.

004 copy_thumb[2]

I actually used an Impression Obsession die here – it’s a Square Cutout Border die.
I curled it slightly then stuck it down so that it bevelled in the middle.
Then I promptly covered it up with some chopped up leaves cut with a
Memory Box Lavish Branch and some little Wildflower Patch flowers.

Am I the only one that does that???
Sometimes even I don't understand myself!!!!

The sentiment is from my my all time fave LOTV  Sentiments to Fit Scroll set.

I did a bit of 3D-ing with the flower – like you do!!

And there’s a bit of glitter in there as well, just for a change lol.

Another helping of Sue Wilson’s bow die.
I’m rather liking this bad boy : )

002 copy_thumb[3]

003 copy_thumb[5]

So that’s my card and that’s me done for today and I’m off to do some work.

Have a great day and huggiest of hugs to all xx

As Clint Would Say, Are You Feeling Lucky?

rubberstamppriceslidelowres

Good morning everyone, and I hope that you are all OK today.

This post is going out at 7am on the 7th day of the 7th month – lucky seven if you are superstitious (I am a bit!!).
But as it happens, if you are after some new
Lili of The Valley stamps then you are indeed in luck.  Before I get to me project, check out the pic above and if you want more details, then bob on over to the Ideas To Inspire Blog and check it all out.

What a lovely way to start the week with some good news.

And doesn’t it make a change!!!

Ok now for today’s project and here ….

001 copy_thumb[2]

… it is.

I’ve made a window box using our beautiful Antebellum papers and apart from the leaf vine and grass, everything here is made from the pad.

I really like this pad – it ticks so many boxes, pardon the pun!!

Can you imagine that wood on a vintage Christmas card?
I whispered that last bit – oooh it’s a bit too early for that sort of festive talk!!

The actual window box was made using an Eileen Hull Window Box die which is made by Sissix.
Isn't it fab peeps : )

Not only that but it’s so easy to put together – I LIKE that.

004 copy_thumb[2]

I made a blind using a MS Doily punch and the teeny flowers were made from the middle bits of a Susan Tierney Sunflower Thinlits die – they're the tiny little brown bits you can see in the middle of this flower here …. .

images (1)

Now before you think that I have wayyy too much time on my hands to sit and shape every one of those tiny things, the way I did this was to die cut it (they are all together on one die – you can see what I mean on the pic),  but before I popped them out, I positioned the die over a moulding pad (or you could use an old mouse mat) and I popped them through with a small embossing tool.
They shape as they drop out – easy peasy.

003 copy_thumb[2]

The grass and leaf vines were cut using Memory Box dies – Lavish Branch and Grassy Border.

005 copy_thumb[5]

And the flowers were just made using a medium Woodware punch

002 copy_thumb[3]

So that’s me done for today.

Did you watch the tennis?  Talk about nail biting and tense. I have to admit that I would have liked to see old Roge win if I could have chosen and indeed if you had been near our house as this awesome match was going on then you would no doubt have heard old fog horn Lil here cheering him on!!

It wasn’t to be.

But for all of us tennis fans, above anything else, it was one of the best finals I’ve seen in many a year – truly a fantastic game of tennis.

Right, I’m off to do the dreaded weekly weigh in – it’s just a short hop to the bathroom lol. I’ve been good apart from (there’s always an ‘apart from’) going out for dinner on Tuesday and even then I had diet Coke and only a few chips (she say, polishing her halo!!).

I’ll let you know tomorrow if the results were good or bad.

Till then have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

We're Back To Normal :)

Picture-001web1

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It's a bit damp and overcast this morning but we can't moan seeing as we have had a run of over a week of sunshine here, woohoooo!!
Maybe it will come back?

Who knows!!!

Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who visited yesterday for the hop.

If you haven't entered, you have until 6pm tonight (UK time) and the winner will be announced later over at the Ideas To Inspire blog.  And thank you for all of your sweet comments, plus one rather strange one  - quelle dommage, you can't please 'em all lol!! It WAS something very different and I think it's good to take yourself out of your comfort zone occasionally. You may not get it right every time but it's good to try :)

So back in the aforementioned comfort zone today cos it's time to head on over to Papertake Weekly where we have a bit of a male thing going on. This week, our theme is

Hello Boys

and we just want to see your Father's day / male cards - simples :)
We have lots of lovely DT cardage plus 2 fab prizes and sponsors so if you get a sec, nip on over and check it all out.

So ....

Picture-001web

.. this is what I did.

It's actually the card we did at the June  Lili of The Valley workshop and here's what I used to make it -

From LOTV -

Image – Vegetable Patch from Art Pad 1 – Vintage Boys

Sentiment – Sent With Love x from Sentiments To Fit Scroll set

Papers – Country Gent 8x8 paper pad

Dies -

Memory Box Grasslands Border Die (negative used)

Joy! Craft Dies - Clouds 3

Magnolia Lovely Fence Die

Apart from the Magnolia die, the others are available from the LOTV shop.

Picture-005web

I decided that I liked the negative of the die cut better as it was a bit chunkier and looked more like a hedge.
I love it when you can use both parts of the die cut :)

I bevelled the fence using some foam pads - it may be a bugger to post but I like the way it looks and you could always box up the card.
It would make it more special then :)

Picture-004web

LOVING these little clouds - they are soooo sweet and quite trendy at the mo.

 Picture-006web

These sentiments are for life and not just for the scroll set!!!

Picture-0021web

I made the little brown dots from card punched out with a tiny hole punch.

Picture-003web

So that's the old card done and if you want to enter the blog hop from yesterday (and if you haven't please do have a go cos there is a whopper of a prize up for grabs), then you can check it all out here sweet peeps.

Right I'm off - I have a busy busy day ahead of me and I need to get a wriggle on or it will be lunch time before I know it and half the day will have gone!!

Enjoy your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

A Muzzy For Simon :)

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx.

It's that time of the week when we catch up with our friends in the US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Masculine / Father's Day

This week, the DT are showcasing Tim Holtz products.
You don't have to use them of course, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

And as always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

web

Well I did this cheeky card here.

I kept it very simple (well, it is for a bloke after all lol!!). The die cut in the centre was made using a Tim Holtz Sizzix Die BAROQUE Movers & Shapers Alterations Die.

I like the shape of it and it is a really good size.

And the papers are Echo Park 6 x 6 Paper Pad For The Record 2 - nice :)

Picture-004web

A bit of trendy here, courtesy of Memory Box Moustache Set Craft Dies

Picture-002web

I printed the sentiment onto Safmat. IRL you cannot see it but the camera here has picked up the film.

   Picture-003web

So that's the old card and it's me done for today.

I'll see you soon as soon and I'm off now to a pottery class - I had so much fun last time that I wanted to do it again. I'll show a pic next time of  what I made a few weeks ago :)

Enjoy your evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Another Sneakie Peekie at Papertake Weekly :)

Picture-005web

Morning sweet peeps and hope you all had a great Bank Holiday - wasn't the weather nice (well for 2 days at any rate!!).

Before we get to today's card, I must announce the winner of my gorgeous giveaway from last week - you can see it here - and the winner is .....

Doc2

... woohooo hoo, it's Crafty Lou :)

Well done to you my hunny and if you ping me a quick email, I will pass the details on to Mary, and of course hugest thanks to The Ribbon Girl for these lovelies xxx

So onto the card which is for this week's Papertake Weekly challenge and it's

Sketchie Free For All

time again, and this ....

... is sketch #73 which is the one I used.

I thought I'd use one of the  sentiments from the brand new Lili of The Valley  Pretty Vintage release and this is from set #62 - Friendship Quotes.

What lovely words they are don'tcha think peeps :)

Picture-001web

The papers are from a Lili of The Valley  8x8 paper pad  - this one's Perfect Pair (these are soooo pretty.

I made the rolled roses using a Memory Box SCALLOPED POSIE Craft DIE and the leaves are chopped up from a  Martha Stewart FROND LEAF Craft Punch.

Well not the punch but what it made lol!!!

Picture-004web

Ohh beautimous gingham ribbon - so nice that I had to use 2 lots of it :)

I made the bows using 25mm Shocking Pink Small Check Gingham and topped it with a 15mm Sparkly 2-Hole Button which doesn't look very sparkly on these pics but IRL it GLEAMS

Picture-006web

A nice inked up bit of paper lace courtesy of a Francesca Border Die

I’ve linked the die to Sir Stampalot cos Jan has a fab selection there, but if you are ever over at the Lili of The Valley shop, there is a mahoosive selection there as well :)

And speaking of the shop, are you planning on coming to the Open Day this weekend?

There's all sorts going on - demos, workshops and an eye feast fit for a King with all the lovely stuff in the shop.
PLUS you will be able to get your mitts on all of the new stuff before they go on general release.

There MAY be one or two spaces left on the workshops but please don't quote me - best check with our Erica as she is the girl in the know :)

Picture-002web

Picture-003web

Right I'm done for today and I'm on one of me dashes as there is a list as long as yer arm with things to do on it - no rest for the wicked and I must have been very bad indeedy!!!!.

Enjoy the rest of your day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK and having a nice week so far xxx.

 Picture-001web

Well, I did a bit of Penny Blacking cos I love this image.
And I have to admit that I quite like this card too cos I love black with string accent colours:)

I'll put the shopping list at the end and link all the pics for a change, and also because for some reason the stored link thing in my Livewriter isn't working. I keep getting an error message every time I try to add a link - has anybody else had this problem and if so, do you know how to get rid of it please pretty please.

It's driving me nuts, pardon the pun!!!

Picture-005web

OK,  so I coloured the image in using these Copics -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02

Didn't We Have A Loverrrly Time :)

Picture-007web

Good morning sweet peeps and I hope that you are all OK and enjoying the weekend :)

Before we get to today's card I have to say a huge thank you to all the lovely people who attended the workshops over at Lili of The Valley yesterday. Both workshops were fabulous and full of the nicest crafters ever including my fave ribbon-istas Mary & Andrea. And I got a chance for a mini catch up with Anne before she goes on her jollies next week. I think it's fair to say that we all enjoyed ourselves and,  just for a change,  the weather was glorious as well.

Crafting, cake and sunshine too - what more could you ask for!!
Well possibly Brad Pitt in one of the workshops but you cannot have everything I guess and in any case he would be much too much of a distraction!!!

Sigh!!!!
(although I still haven't got over the sight of him in those skanky y-fronts in Snatch - not a good look!!!).

It was lovely to see Lisa and Laila and as it always does,  the shop is looking gorgeous and pride of place yesterday had to go to the brand new sketch pads. And judging by how many were sold, I am sure that these are going to be really popular.  There's sentiment pads as well as a pad with the brand new not yet released vintage boys (I can tell you that these new images are awesome).

Not long to go now as these will go on sale from midnight (UK time)  on the 8th, as well as the latest stamp release.
Have you picked your favourites yet?

Right so lets have a look at a card then ....

Picture-001web

This is the sample card I made for the afternoon workshop yesterday and the image is called

Hand Picked

It's one of the new release and you will soon be able to ink it up for yourselves.

I coloured it using the following Pro Markers and Flex Markers -

Jack -  Cool Grey 1 (pm) Cool Grey 2 (pm) Cool Grey 3 (pm) Blender
Patch -  Champagne (fm) Caramel (pm) Burnt Sienna (pm) Blender
Flowers / Grass -  Rose Pink (pm) Blossom (pm) Pale Blossom (fm) Soft Lime (pm) Pear Green (pm) Moss (pm)

The papers I used are from the Perfect Pair and Country Gent 8x8 paper pads.

Picture-006web

A very delish 40mm white daisy flower from The Ribbon Girl.

The pink berries were in my stash but they are very similar to these ....

Beaded Berries Pink/Pale Pink

... pale pink beaded berries from The Ribbon Girl.

The leaves were made by chopping up a Memory Box Lavish Branch die cut which I got from Lili of The Valley

.Picture-004web

I couldn't help but use my new Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One die set again. This has got to be one of my fave dies ever EVER. No doubt you will be seeing a lot of it on here lol!!!

Picture-005web

The sentiment I used is Sentiment – SET 29 - Vintage Sentiments - Just To Say

I added a good dollop of silicone glue behind it to prop it up so rather like my bum and tum at the mo, it wasn't lying flat!!!!

  Picture-002web

The pretty green pearls are from The Ribbon Girl.

 Picture-003webblog

So that's the old card but just before I go .....

LOTV New Release

...don't forget that the brand new images and stamp pads will be on sale from midnight UK time on 8th :)

Right that's me done.
I am off to take Kyla to Hobbycraft  to spend some of the vouchers that she got for Chrimbly and her birthday. If she is anything like she is when we got to Claire's Accessories  (her fave shop, bless her) then we may be some time.

Enjoy your Sunday and see you soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
