Springie Thingies :)

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK and having a nice week so far xxx.

It's that time of the week when we nip across the pond and join our friends in the jolly old US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

APRIL SHOWERS AND/OR SPRING FLOWERS

so any creations with rain and or flowers will be fine and dandy-oh :)

The DT are showcasing Hero Arts  products this week.
You don't have to use them to join in but we would love to see them if you have any.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

 Picture-001web

I did another Springie thingie and I used Tilda Watering - she is from the Magnolia Little Easter 2013 collection

Before I get to the bits and bobs that I used, I am so pleased to say that this card and the one I did last week for the challenge have been featured on the Simon Says Stamp blog today. Steph has done a feature called Marvellous Magnolia Stamps - you can see it right here - and she asked me if I would like to do some cards for it.

Well did I ever - whoop whoop!!!

Thank you sweet Steph for asking me - I am so chuffed to see my work on the blog :)

Picture-006web

I coloured Tilda with the following Copics -

Skin -  E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02
Hair - E41, E42, E43, E39, E50
The rest - B0000, B000, B00. B02, B97, G99, R00, R02, R05, R27, R59, YG0000, YG00, YG23

The papers are from a Bazzill Avalon 6x6 paper pack.

Picture-004web

I made the flowers using my Magnolia DOILY FLOWERS Doohickeys Cutting Dies

and ...

Picture-005web

... the border was made using an E8-001 Spellbinders CLASSIC SCALLOP Edgeabilities Die

I also used some used Hero Arts  42 Light Green Accent Pearls - what a pretty colour :)

Picture-002web

Picture-003web

So that's the old card done for today.

I hope you like it and if you get a sec nip over and check out the Magnolia feature. There's a brand new Magnolia line out now called Once Upon A Time, and you can see it on all it's glory.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and I'll see you back here soon as soon.

Take care and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

A Little Busy Bee :)

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

Well be careful what you wish for because today we have ……… light!!! It’s a cold one but full of nice clean white light – woohoooo. Yesterday was so miserable and this gloom really does get you down (or is that just me??)

Anyway, without further ado, let’s nip across the pond and join our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Black/White + a Splash of Colour

The DT are using products from C.C Designs this week -  you don't have to of course, but if you have them we would love to see them :)

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

So ….

Picture 011 copy

… here’s me card!!

This super sweet image is…

Picture 015 copy

…  CC Designs  Honey Bee-Trice and she is so cute – even if she does have a bit of glitter in her hair (ooops!!)

Once again I gave her the Tim Holts Distress Inks  treatment (in answer to Marianne’s question, the inks I use are the pads chick which I dab onto some acetate and pick up the ink from that – hope that helps).

These are the colours I used -

Skin - Tattered Rose & Vintage Photo
Cheeks - Worn Lipstick & Tea Dye
Hair – Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Wild Honey & Rusty Hinge
Clothes – Pumice Stone, Black Soot, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade & Wild Honey

I’m still practising with them lol!!!
I wonder if I will ever go back to
Copics now?

Picture 014 copy

The papers are Bo Bunny Crush and Bazzill AVALON 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack

Picture 012 copy

 Picture 013 copy

And that’s the card all done peeps.

If you get a sec, nip over and have a look at the DT cardage – wowwza  :)

Thea’s little nose is looking much better and she seems non the worse for her ordeal – I just had to go and see them last night as I was worried about her (yes I know I am a soppy old sod but they are my world those kids). . She was all pink and rosy from her bath and smelled gorgeous – oooh I could eat her!!!

Kyla is getting super excited about tomorrow as it is her birthday and she will be 7. I say it every year but I still cannot believe we have her. That child was a gift to us I am sure, and she has brought us so much joy. Well they are all gifts really  and it really is a shame that not all parents see them like that. It makes me so sad when I see them giving their kids a slap for the most silly things (I saw one do that once because her little one of about 2 had dropped her sweeties – errr what????). She is having her party this Sunday – 10 pin bowling with 19 of her little pals – ands we are just having a little birthday tea on the actual day. She doesn’t know it yet but on Friday, Em is getting her from school and they are going straight to Manchester to see The Lion King. We’re going in Feb so she can give me all the info :)

Right I better go. I'm typing this early and I haven't had me brekkie yet so the old tum is starting to rumble. Have a fab day and I’ll see you soon as soon.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things :)

Morning peeps and it’s anther cold one here today, brrrr is is freezing again, literally!!!

So it’s that time of the week when we head across the water and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week our theme is …

What’s Your Favourite?

and all we want you to do is use your fave tools, stamp or products.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here (lucky girlie!!)

So ….

 Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

So I used some of my fave products here.

Of course, I do love love LOVE the old Magnolia stuff and the image is Tilda with Snow Heart  from the  Sweet Christmas Dreams 2011 collection.

Picture 001 copy

I coloured it with the following Distress Inks -

Skin – Tattered Rose, Tea Dye
Hair – Scattered Straw, Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
The rest – Barn Door, Fired Brick, Tumbled Glass, Broken China

Note to Dawny – you need to leave the image TO DRY before you add the glitter. It also needs to dry so that it WON’T SMUDGE!!!!!

Guess who is still in Copics mode then :(

Picture 002 copy

The papers are Bazzill AVALON 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack – even though they are quite summery papers, there are designs in there that you can use now.

I did a bit of bending with a fence cut using  a Magnolia Lovely Fence Die.

Just something a bit different I thought!!!

Picture 003 copy

And the old Martha Stewart ARCTIC SNOWFLAKE Craft Punch was put to good use again. This is my fave snowflake punch this year and I have used it lots (you probably noticed!!).  I layered them up this time for a bit more dimension.

Ohh and the border which you can just about see was made using a strip of lace punched with a  Martha Stewart Punch DOILY LACE TRIM Deep Edge Edger punch which I cut in half.

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the old card done and before I go (I’m at it again lol) I have another Chrimbly vid to share.

Now all I will say about this one is that mentioning no names, when a certain somebody is sorting out the Christmas dinner whilst  the Now That’s What I Call Christmas CD is playing in and after they’ve been sniffing the cork on the sherry bottle,  this person cannot help herself but dance along to this. Well when I say dance, it’s more like bobbing up and down to the dabadaba dum dum dabadaba dum bits, singing at the top of her voice!!!

Unlike a puppy, Jona Lewie is not for life, he is actually just for Christmas (although occasionally you can always find him in the kitchen at parties!!).

And you want to see what happens when Shakin Stevens’  Green Door comes on.

Or maybe you don't actually - it isn’t pretty!!!

Enjoy and see you soon and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

All together now …..  dabadaba dum dum dabadaba dum  :)

Hoppity Hop, Please Make Sure You Stop –It’s a A FAB Giveaway :)

Hi there lovely peeps and we have something very different and very special for you today over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge because it’s time for …
……. woohoooo ;))))
So welcome one and all and please come and celebrate with us.
Here’s what it’s all about -
Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. Over the past 10 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a STAMPtember ™ event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.
So we are celebrating with a
STAMP-TEMBER BLOG HOP !!
But of course, it’s also a challenge and this week we are asking you to
Put a STAMP On It
So you must use a stamp somewhere on your cards/creations and  NO DIGI'S allowed this week :-))
One lucky winner this week will get our
GRAND PRIZE of $100 Simon Shopping Spree!
Is that a prize or it that a PRIZE!!!!
But that’s not all because we all have a special giveaway of …
... to spend in the shop too,  so lots of winners this week (ooohhhh we do LIKE that!!!)
In order to be eligible for any of the prizes you must complete the hop, leaving comments at all the blogs along the way AND enter the challenge ! :-) We will announce the winners as soon as possible after the hop finishes at 8am EST on Wednesday 12th September.
This week we are showcasing Washi Tape . You don't have to use it to join in but if you have some we would love to see it on your creations :-)
So ..
Picture 001 copy
.. this is what I did.
The sharp eyes amongst you will notice that there isn’t any washi tape on my card and there is a very simple explanation for that!! Some dope didn't read the challenge properly (cannot think who that would be!!). But my other teamies with more brain cells and better eye sight than me did,  so there’s lots to see on their beautiful cards.
Picture 006 copy
I used Water Can Tilda and coloured her with these Copics -
Skin – E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13 R00, R02
Hair – E31, E34, E35, E39, E50
The rest – B0000, B000. B00, B05, B93, C00, C1, C4, C5, R05, R17, R27, R59
 Picture 004 copy
The papers are from a Bazzill AVALON 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack and I made some rolled flowers and added a few leaves made with a Magnolia leaf and swirl die – I used the leaf bit for a change and gave the swirl a day off for good behaviour!!
 Picture 005 copy
My old faithful friend, SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film - what would I do without it!!!
 Picture 002 copy
 Picture 003 copy
So that’s my card done and here’s a collage of sneak peeks for you from the rest of the DT …
… and doesn't it look fab :)
But whose is who?????
I’m sure you will be able to see as you go about the hop today so I’ll get back to the business in hand now lol!!
If you arrived here from CHEIRON’s blog then you are in the right place  but if you didn't, then you will need to go to the Simon Says Stamp Blog where the hop starts :-) In case you get lost along the way, here’s the blog hop order and just to remind you that you have until Wed 12th September 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in :-)
If while hopping you encounter a broken link, you can go back to the beginning with links to everyone who is participating in the hop.
So that’s it from me and thank you so much for visiting!
Before you go, don't forget to leave me a comment and also your name with Mr Linky and then it’s time for the next stop in the Simon Says STAMPtember ™ Blog Hop, which  is the very lovely and oh so talented Debby.
Have fun and good luck to everyone who enters and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

It’s time to head across the water and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week it’s all about

Animal Antics

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here.

So …..

Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

I LOVE Penny Black Hedgies and this one is called Exhilarating (you can really feel the movement in this image I think)

The papers I used today are  from the Bazzill AVALON 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack.

Picture 007 copy

I coloured the image with these Copics -

C00, C1, C2, C4, C5, C7, E50, G99, R02, R05, R17, R27, R59, YG00, YG23

These hedgies are super easy to colour :)

 Picture 002 copy

The border die is made from a Memory Box pearl lace die and the ribbon and button were from my stash

 Picture 003 copy

So that’s the old cardio done for today and please excuse my mad dash but I have 1001 things to do today and time is running out fast – ohhhherrrr!!

Have a fab day and see you soon,  if not sooner.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Eyes Down Peeps :)

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It’s that time of the week when we nip over to the jolly old US of A and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week we are having a game of Bingo and this ...

… is the card to use.

This week, the DT have all featured Memory Box  products but of course you don't have to use them to join in. But we would love to see them used if you have any.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here.

So …..

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did and I went for the central horizontal line.

I used Tilda With A Gift For You which is from the Autumn Collection Falling Leaves 2012 collection.

Picture 006 copy

I coloured her with the following Copics -

Skin – E0000, E000, E00, E11, R00, R02

Hair – E31, E33, E34, E35, E39, E50

The rest – E43, E50, R85, RV0000, RV000, RV00

And I added some glitter, as I usually do :)

The image is stamped onto a Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestabilities die btw.

*Bazzill AVALON 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack

The paper is from the Bazzill AVALON 6 x 6 Paper Multi-Pack – love these papers because they have a nice texture to them and the colours are so clean and bright.

Picture 004 copy

The border is made from a  Memory Box pearl lace die and the sentiment is printed onto SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film. IRL you cannot see where it is stuck down but in pics, it always seems to show up.

I blame the photographer personally!!!!

Picture 005 copy

And speaking of which, sod’s law that this pic isn’t exactly fab, but I hope that you can see what I’ve done here.

The beautimous flowers are Prima Gillian Silk Flowers -  Raspberry with Glitter and they are almost too pretty to use - this photo does not do them justice.

Picture 001 copy

You can maybe see them a bit better on this one -  they really are some of the prettiest blooms I’ve seen (and they don’t break the bank either!!)..

I also used a Memory Box Delicate Fern die and chopped bits off of it and used it as foliage.

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

It’s a bit of a plain card inasmuch as it isn't exactly laden down on the embellies  or papers front. But I really like how the little arrangement turned out and think that if I added any more, it would  have spoiled it.

Right on that note, I’m off to get some more work done and then we are off to see Emma and the dinks – they are back from Spain – hurrrrayyyyyyyyy :)))) I cannot wait to give them both the biggest hugs and squishes ever. R has been playing it down and saying that he has enjoyed the peace and quiet  but he admitted last night that he has missed them dreadfully, especially our Kyla who follows him around everywhere he goes.

They have a very special bond those two and he didn't fool me for one second with all his bluster. So before long it will be back to Dancing Queen on the Wii, playing shop and school – she is always the teacher - and her latest which is playing Next Directory!! You have to order things from her and she finds them in the catalogue!! She does have lots of toys to play with (honestly she does!!!) but this is her latest craze!!

Ohh I cannot wait !!

See you soon if not sooner and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
