A Lovely Lili Sunday

Good morning lovely peeps and a very Happy Sunday to everybody : )

Today sees the last Lovely Lili Challenge of the year over at The Ribbon Girl blog and today our theme is

Anything Goes

so you can really get creative with your Lili of The Valley products.

As usual we have two fabulous prizes from LOTV and The Ribbon Girl for the randomly chosen winner of the challenge

So …

… here is my card.

The image I used is Snow Queen and she is one of my fave LOTV Christmas images.

This was my first attempts using the brilliant Inktense Pencils and I have to say that I am smitten.
They are super easy to use and give a different look than you get with Copics.
I'm not saying I have abandoned the Copics or prefer the pencils, but I do like them and will use them lots.
They will last a lifetime as well – I cannot see how you could use them up because a little goes a very long way.

Some utterly beautimous products from The Ribbon Girl -

The bows were made using Pink Tulip Seam Binding and Ascot Grey Seam Binding. Then I topped them with a Wooden Heart Button which I’d painted using a White Snowcap Paint Dabber and finally I topped it all with off with a Pink Dewdrop.

The sentiment is from SET 75 - Christmas Wishes and the papers are from Mr & Mrs and Country Meadow paper pads.
I really like using non Christmas papers for Christmas cards – call me strange lol!!!

The snowflakes were made using a die that was free with a magazine.

So that’s me done for today.
Enjoy the rest of  your day and I’ll be back soon.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Time For A Hoppity Hop : )

Good morning everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Time for another Lili of The Valley design team blog hop and today we’re giving you some inspiration for using the latest stamp releases which will be available to buy on the website from midday (UK time) on Monday 24th November or if you are coming to the shop for the last open day of the year this Saturday 22nd, then you can get your crafty mitts on them then.

There are 10 brand new images and all of them gorgeous, plus 3 brand new paper pads.

So you know how it works peeps - you just need to ‘hop’ from one blog to another following the links and leave a comment on each card. As well as being in with a shot of winning the fab prize or prizes on offer, you're bound to get oodles of inspiration while you are on your travels.

Now talking of prizes, as always there's some hidden along the way.
We don’t know where they are so do be sure to visit and comment on every blog - you have to be in it to win it me darlins :).
But what we DO know is that there’s  a set of papers and images to win

We will let you know on Monday which were the ‘lucky’ blogs and the winners will be drawn at random from all the comments that were left on those blogs.

Here’s the hop list for you -

Ideas to Inspire
Andrea
Anne
Becky

Dawny
(that'll be me then!!)
Dena
Fleur

Gretha

Jen

Lou
Mary J

Mindy

So what did I do then?

Ta-daaaahhhh!!

The sweet image is called

…. Afternoon Stroll ….

and I coloured it with the following Copics -

Skin – E0000, E00, E13, R00, R05
Hair – E31, E35, E35, E50
The rest – E31, E35, E39, E50, R85, RV00, RV10, RV34, RV69, Y0000, Y00, Y02, Y21, Y28

The papers are from the brand new One Birdie Lane paper pad – full of pretty Spring colours which are a sight for sore eyes on a chilly, grey Autumn day.

From here you need to visit the  sweetness that is our lovely Dena but don't forget that if you get lost you can start again at the beginning and pick the links up from there, and don’t forget to stop by the Ideas to Inspire blog on Monday when you can find out who the lucky winners were of the prizes before the stamps go on sale.

Finally, just to let you know that there are a few spaces left on the workshop so if you are coming to the shop and fancy doing a bit of crafty stuff, give the shop a ring -  it would be lovely to see you.

Enjoy the hop everyone, good luck, and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

I’m Back Again!!!!

Hi there sweet peeps and as ‘promised’ I’m back again because it’s time to nip across the pond and join our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

White On White

Our Joy has created an inspiration board which you can see …..

… here, and isn't it gorgeous :)

This week we are showcasing Cuttlebug Products.
You don't have to use them of course , but if you have them we would love to see them.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

Now while I LOVE white cards, I do not like photographing them. In other words I cannot photograph them, so this is actually my third attempt and as bad as these pics are, believe me they are the best of a very bad bunch, cry cry.

But I hope that they are good enough for you to get the gist.

Picture 004 copy

I used a Cuttlebug A2 Embossing Folder - Heart Blocks and then matted it onto more white card and stuck this down onto a white card base.

Then I die cut 5 of the next to largest hearts from a Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Heart Dies set, added a bit of glitter, stuck them together down the centre and then folded them inwards.

It’s a bit OTT but I quite like the effect.

Picture 005 copy

Ohh God bless SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film and all who sail in her.
I would be lost without this stuff!!!

  Picture 002 copy

No it isn't your eyes – it’s a tad on the fuzzy side, sorry!!!

I was seriously losing  the will to live with these pics :(

But you know me, I am a warts and all blogger – none of this fair weathering malarky for me lol!!!

Picture 003 copy

So that’s me pics done and I was thinking that this theme is  quite ironic because it’s started to snow here!! I really do not know what is going on with our weather at the moment – it’s all a bit weird if you ask me.

Righty-oh I’m off for the day now but I’ll see you tomorrow with something that is looooooooong overdue (red face alert).

Stay warm and dry wherever you are and have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Gorgeous Papers & My Gorgeous Giveaway Winner (Was It You?).

Picture 005 copy

Hi there loveliest of peeps and hope you are all OK xxx

Before we nip over and check out what’s happening over at Papertake Weekly, it’s time to announce who the winner is from last week’s Gorgeous Giveaway, and I am so pleased to tell you that it is ….

…. drum roll please ……

Doc4

…. you, Aunty Sue :)

I would have been pleased for whoever won but I was especially pleased because Aunty Sue has been our GD over at Papertake and this is her last week. She was sad to go and I was sad to see her go, so I’m sure that this will have cheered her up. Please ping me an email chick and I'll pass on your details to the sweeties that are Mary & Andrea over at The Ribbon Girl and hugest of thanks to them for their kindness xxx

So onto my card for this week’s challenge which is a sketch …

sketch #69

.. this one here.

And …

Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did with it - yes I played a bit fast and loose with the old sentiment but hey ho!!

The image is one of the new CC Designs images called Flower Birgitta and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02, R20

Hair – E41, E43, E50, E81

The rest – B0000, B000, B00, B02, B05, G99, YG00, YG03, YG23

Those beautimous papers are from the new Nitwits FQB Petal Fresh collection.  I have to tell you that these are my fave papers at the mo because they are so clean and fresh. I can almost smell the fresh air on them lol.

Picture 004 copy

Something else I am loving here too :)

142806-daisywhite

These are Mulberry White Daisies from The Ribbon Girl.

I popped them on top of a couple of petals die cut from a Peony Petals die and then folded a piece of  16mm Aqua Open Weave Ribbon in half,  chopped the ends and stuck it behind.

Picture 006 copy

The oval in the centre was cut from a Spellbinders Lattice Motifs die – I cut it from a piece of Petal Fresh Solids paper so that it matched perfectly.

The white crazy mesh fabric behind is also from The Ribbon Girl.

Picture 002 copy

Other stuff I used was a Magnolia leaf and swirl die – just for a change lol and a border made using a Memory Box pearl lace die.

All the dies are of course available from Simon Says Stamp.

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the card done peeps and I’ll be back tomorrow for my weekly trip across the pond.

But before I go, I have a little moment of self indulgence here cos I had to share this with you of my two little treasures….

New Image12dp

… aww, bless their little hearts.

There is nothing like a kiss from big sister is there.

Right on that note I’m off. I’ll see you tomoz - enjoy your evening and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

A Sunny Lil Hunny :)

Picture 006 copy

Hi there lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today :)

It’s that time of the week when we nip across the water and catch up with our friends in the jolly old US of A cos it’s time for another fab Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

This week we have inspiration in the form of this beautimous summer board which was put together by our very own Joy.

I think it look amazing :)

As always, Heidi will be giving away a whopping …..

… gift voucher which our lucky winner will get to spend in the store ….

… right here.

We’ve all used Hero Arts products this week but of course you don’t have to.

So  …….

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did.

I love this cute image – it’s the way her hair sticks out of her cap (soooo sweet) and she is called Beachy Beatrice. She is one of the new CC Designs images and I put her onto a Nestabilities LABELS 18 Eighteen and then coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02, R20

Hair – E15, E25, E29, E33, E50, E51

The rest – E00, E43, Y0000, Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08, Y11, Y15, Y17. Y21, Y28, Y38 (phew!!)

The sunny papers are from an Echo Park Hello Summer paper pack – perfect for this I thought :)

Picture 004 copy

I’ve had this die for ages but this is the first time I’ve used it properly (hangs head in shame!!).

It’s a MFT Banner Day Die-Namics Die and I then printed out the sentiment onto some good old SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film.

Picture 002 copy

The orange gemstones started out as clear Hero Arts gemstones and I just coloured them to match the card using my Copics.

Picture 003 copy

So that’s my sunny card for today sweet peeps.

I hope yer eyeballs are still in one piece – I didn’t give you a  BRIGHT warning,  ooops!!! It’s the only bright thing around here at the mo cos the sun didn't stay around for very long yesterday and first thing this morning the heavens opened. I think my most worn item of this summer so far has been these bad boys …..

imageswellies

My old faithful wellies!!

I ‘heart’ them :)

These aren't my actual ones cos I wouldn’t dare put them on here as they are generally covered in filth and ming!!! But this is what they would look like if I cleaned them!!!  They used to look green and shiny but now they always seem to look, well brown and muddy really, like they have a sort of a camouflage pattern. I know I could run them under the tap but being the slob that I am, I don’t :(    I just take them off and hang them up cos I always think that I will do it next time!!!!  I’ve had them for 30 years and they are still going strong, bless em!!!!

I call them my Captain Scarlet wellies cos they are indestructible!!!

When we went to stay with Richard’s cousin a few months back, we took our outdoor stuff as we were going walking and it was really muddy. So out comes Jane’s wellies – pristine and gleaming. And then out came mine – ohh I nearly died!!!!  Still didn’t clean the beggars though did I!!!!!

Anyway, I’ll be back tomorrow with another card to share so until then, have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Soft Colours & The Sweetest lil Poppet :)

Picture 006 copy

Hi there lovely peeps and hope that you are all OK today.

It’s that time of the week when we head on over to Papertake Weekly and out theme this week is

3 –2 – 1

and we just want you to use 3 of one thing, 2 of another and 1 of another and what you use is entirely up to you :)

There’s a fab prize up for grabs from the sweetness that is Katharina over at Whiff of Joy and of course as always, some gorge DT cardage to feast yer eyes on :)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did and I went with 3 blooms, 2 papers and 1 image.

I saw this image and was just itching to colour it in. She’s one of the images in the Rosie Collection 1 set from Digi Stamp Boutique and I think she is soooo cute.

I coloured her with these Copics

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E25, E29, E35, E51

The rest – B0000, B00, B05, G99, YG0000, YG00, YG03

The papers are from the FQB Stuffed With Love collection from Nitwits and I have to say that these papers are just so pretty – really soft pastel shades.

I loves ‘em!!!!

Picture 004 copy

Take 1 Magnolia Doily Flower die, 3 rolled roses and the old faithful  Magnolia leaf and swirl die – I managed to use both today – and this is what I made!!!!

Both dies are available in the Simon Says Stamp store.

Picture 005 copy

The double  bow is made from 25mm Celery Green Plain Sheer ribbon and I topped it off with a button from the 10g pack of pearl buttons. I also used some Ivory Pleated 5/8" Satin Ribbon and all of these are from The Ribbon Girl

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the cardage done for today but before I go, I do hope that nobody out there has been affected by these awful floods. My heart went out to them when I saw what had happened to their homes. If you are one of them, I am thinking of you and hope that you manage to get everything sorted soon.

I’ll be back in the morning with my weekly trip across the pond so until then, I’ll say tarra and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Hello Sailor!!!!

     Picture 007 copy

Hi there lovely peeps and a very happy Monday to all xxx

I'm just doing the catch up thing today because I’ve been a bit swamped these last 3 days with grandchildren, birds etc etc. So this is the first opp I have had to get my card for this week’s Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge where our theme is

Fathers’ Day / Edwin

There’s 2 fab prizes so if you haven’t already nip over and check it out when you get sec peeps :)

Picture 001 copy

So this is what I did.

I used Dangling Sea Edwin and the papers are fomo the Nitwits FQB Aye Aye Captain collection.

Picture 006 copy

Copics used here are -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R20

Hair – E25, E33, E35, E51

The Rest – B00, B39, B93, B95, B97,  E50, C00, C1, C2, E25, E29, E33, E35, E51

Picture 004 copy

Another homage to Leann here with a bit of string!!!

I also added a bit of kraft card and a die cut made using a Spellbinders Lattice Motifs die

Picture 002 copy

I found the button in my stash and thought it would go nicely.

I ought to have stuck it on with some silicone glue rather than with a dimensional pad cos it looks a bit scruffy as it is. I’ll change it and I’ll also be sorting out the inside of the card cos this will be going on ebay soon as soon.

Picture 003 copy,

Right-oh it’s a real quickie to day but I’ll be back tomoz with some Papertake cardage.

Have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx
