It's A Celebration :)

So what did I do then?

Well .....  

... I went all Springie (living in hope perhaps!!) and I used Tilda with Big Tulip Pot - she is sooo sweet :)

 

     

I coloured her with the following Copics -

The papers are all from a Doodlebug LOVEBIRDS 6 x 6 Paper Pad

 

The gorgeous banner was made using a Simon Says Stamp Ribbon Banner Craft Die
I LOVE the shape of the little flags

 

The blooms were made using a My Favorite Things MINI ROLLED ROSES Die-Namics set

… this is what I did.

I used my new Tilda image and coloured her with these Copics -

Skin -  E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02

Hair – E43, E50, E81

The rest – C00, C1, C3, C4, C5, G99, R02, R17, R27, R59, YG0000, YG00, YG03, YG23

The papers are from the My Minds Eye Life of The Party 6 x 6 Paper Pack – those colours are amazing.

The bloom in the centre is made from a Mini Rolled Roses Die-Namics Die set and I sat it on a Magnolia Doily Flower which I’d coloured with Copics YG0000. I used a Martha Stewart Frond Leaf punch for the leaves.

I put the sentiment which I printed out onto  SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film onto a die cut made from a MFT Bracket Tab Die-Namics die. I really love the shape of this :)

  

So there’s the old card done,.

I am once again doing the mad dash thing cos I am out of the door in about 5 minutes so best get me skates on!! If you get a sec do nip over and check out the challenge peeps cos there are some fab pieces of work to be seen over there.

It’s that time of the week when we nip across the water and catch up with our friends in the jolly old US of A cos it’s time for another fab Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

We’ve all used Hero Arts products this week but of course you don’t have to.

So  …….

… this is what I did.

I love this cute image – it’s the way her hair sticks out of her cap (soooo sweet) and she is called Beachy Beatrice. She is one of the new CC Designs images and I put her onto a Nestabilities LABELS 18 Eighteen and then coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02, R20

Hair – E15, E25, E29, E33, E50, E51

The rest – E00, E43, Y0000, Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08, Y11, Y15, Y17. Y21, Y28, Y38 (phew!!)

The sunny papers are from an Echo Park Hello Summer paper pack – perfect for this I thought :)

I’ve had this die for ages but this is the first time I’ve used it properly (hangs head in shame!!).

It’s a MFT Banner Day Die-Namics Die and I then printed out the sentiment onto some good old SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film.

The orange gemstones started out as clear Hero Arts gemstones and I just coloured them to match the card using my Copics.

 

So that’s my sunny card for today sweet peeps.

I hope yer eyeballs are still in one piece – I didn’t give you a  BRIGHT warning,  ooops!!! It’s the only bright thing around here at the mo cos the sun didn't stay around for very long yesterday and first thing this morning the heavens opened. I think my most worn item of this summer so far has been these bad boys …..

My old faithful wellies!!

I ‘heart’ them :)

These aren't my actual ones cos I wouldn’t dare put them on here as they are generally covered in filth and ming!!! But this is what they would look like if I cleaned them!!!  They used to look green and shiny but now they always seem to look, well brown and muddy really, like they have a sort of a camouflage pattern. I know I could run them under the tap but being the slob that I am, I don’t :(    I just take them off and hang them up cos I always think that I will do it next time!!!!  I’ve had them for 30 years and they are still going strong, bless em!!!!

I call them my Captain Scarlet wellies cos they are indestructible!!!

When we went to stay with Richard’s cousin a few months back, we took our outdoor stuff as we were going walking and it was really muddy. So out comes Jane’s wellies – pristine and gleaming. And then out came mine – ohh I nearly died!!!!  Still didn’t clean the beggars though did I!!!!!

Chasing Butterflies :)

Morning lovely  peeps and sorry about the unimaginative post title today - the old brain has turned to mush it would seem :(

But onwards and upwards as they say and it’s time to get transatlantic and head over to see what’s happening with the girlies at Simon Says Stamp Challenge. I say girlies but this week out GD is male – he is Alberto and is 15 and he does the most amazing work :)

So, what did I do then???

I got a bit bright that’s what lol!!!

I really like zingy colours with lots of white on show – you may have noticed,  heeheee

I decided to do something a little bit different and I wanted it to look like she was chasing the butterflies so I punched a few out and attached them to strips of acetate which I hope you can just about see. Now if I did this again I would make the strips a little thinner perhaps. I also made a boo-boo I think re the number  of butterflies and would possibly add one more on the left hand side ….. but maybe I am just getting picky in me old age :(

Perhaps I should rename the blog Pink Picky – what do ya think lol!!

The base card was made using Spellbinders Grand Nesties and the image is Capture Each Moment Jolinne – it’s an MFT image (all the DT have used MFT products this week) and I coloured her with these Copics -

E000, E00, E21, R11 (skin), E50 (hair), BG0000, BG01, YG000, YG01, YG03 (the rest).

The shading here and there was done with polychromos pencils.

It’s from a My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 Life Of The Party Paper Pad. I also used it to make the butterflies and the rolled rose in the centre of the bloom as well.  The large bloom is from a Prima Craftable Flowers pack and I just coloured it to match with the Copics.

 

Quite right too :)

And you can just about see the good old  Tilda Lace Die and Hero Arts Gems trying to hide away there.

So there we are all done.

I was so glad to see that I am not the only one who objected to the shenanigans at Dale Farm peeps.  But enough ranting from me for one week I think!!!

Now it isn't often that I make a card and look at it when it’s done and really like it – you see, Miss Picky Knickers again!!! . But that actually  happened yesterday so I’ll leave you with a sneaky peek of it and show you  the the rest in the morning.

I’m off to Hobbycraft now (oh deep joy, not!!) as I am all but out of the lovely white card I use for my card bases. I am so fussy about it as it HAS to be brilliant white and they don't often have it in so I am expecting the worst. But you never know and I will remain cheerfully  optimistic.

But there could be tears if I can’t get any (and then I will go and try and get a life lol!!).

Before I go I must just tell you that we are almost out of spaces for the forthcoming Copicific Retreat on 22nd October. But there are one or two places still available so go on and treat yerselves to a a whole weekend of pure crafty bliss - the programme is awesome and class sizes are deliberately kept small to give the best possible value for money. So you will learn lots about these amazing pens and how to get the best out of the little blighters :).

Pink & Girlie And Verrry Cute :)

Morning peeps and hope you are all OK

This is going to be a whistle stop post today cos I have so much to do before the weekend that it is just scary!! So There’ll be minimum waffle from moi (hurray I hear you cry lol!!) but I’ve got a fair few pics to share as per usual!!

Over at Papertake Weekly today our theme is

It’s A Mom Thing

(I am just showing off cos I can speak American!!!)

So of course as it’s nearly Mothers Day, we want to see your mumsie cardage. Of course my own dear sweet mum is no longer here so if you are like me, then all you need to do is to make a girlie one and that will be fine :)

So of course it just had to be pink didn't it!!

I used this fabulous image MFT from the Simon Says Stamp Store and she is called Ballet Millie.

Don't you think she is super cute!!!

I coloured her with Copics and not many used today, just C00, C1, C3, RV000, RV02 & RV10 plus E50 for outlining

The delish bloomage is of course from Wild Orchid Crafts

And the pretty ribbon and fab charm are both from The Ribbon Girl – perfect for all the little ballerinas out there :)
