Moonlight Fairies

Hello lovelies and hope you're well.

I thought I'd share a little make I did recently using Rory, Darcy and a few other Lavinia Stamps goodies.

The background is made using Distress Inks and the stamps I used are Rory, Darcy, the Hazel tree, Zen Tall Mushrooms (well one of them lol) the cute Mini Lamp and various leaves and foliage stamps.

The sentiment is from Heartfelt Verses.

I added some glitter and gold Posca Pen around the little lantern.

I added a black and white birder to mirror the Zen Mushroom. Is it perfect? No but I'm not unhappy with it.

I was inspired by a background I saw Tracy do and thought I'd have a go. This is a very 'un-me' card but I loved how it turned out.

Hope you like it as well.
Hugs, Dawny xx

Simply Simple

Hello lovelies.
Hope you are all OK today.

I've been having a dabble with some lovely stuff from Lavinia Stamps - I have to confess that I am smitten!!

It's a very simple card which make use of the white space I really like.
I created a background using a Lavinia Elegance stencil and some Peeled Paint, Twisted Citron and Broken China  Distress Inks - added very randomly and leaving a lot of the card plain.

Then I stamped with Wild Berry over the stencilling. I used Versafine Clair Nocturne for this. I then added some gold Posca Pen to some of the berries.

The sentiment I have to confess I cannot remember where it was from - possibly Tonic?
But I thought it fit the image really well.

Right-io. I'm off to do a bit more crafting but I'll be back son as soon.

Hope you like the card - it's something different from what I usually do but it's nice to try new things isn't it :)

Have a lovely day and huggiest of hugs,

Dawny xx

Funky Chicken :)

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday to all.

I'm sharing another card made using Jane's Dancing Chickens stamp set from Woodware.

Again I coloured this in using Koi Pens - no blending - and outlined the image using a white Sakura Jelly Roll Pen.

I made the background using Distress Inks and made the circle by cutting a large circle die, using the negative part as a mask and adding the inks using a Vaessen Creative blending brush

I then spritzed water over it to give it an eggshell sort of texture.  I then used the die cut to cover up the background and added more ink around the outside before stamping the chicken, colouring it in and adding an outline and detail with the Jelly Roll pen.

I'm rather of fan of these cute chicks I have to say. I hope you like it as well. Thank you for stopping by today and see you soon with some more cards.

Hugs to all, Dawny xx

Good morning peeps and hope you are all OK today.

Time for a spot of Papertake Weekly-ing over at the challenge here and this week we are having a game of

We have a fab prize up for grabs and some rather delish DT cardage to share,  so if you get a sec nip over for a nosey why dontcha xxx

Picture-001web

So this is what I did and I went for glitter, die cuts and blooms (a very popular choice).

Now I used Distress Inks to colour this oh so sweet Meant To Be image from Lili of The Valley BUT I coloured this weeks ago so I cannot remember which colours I used, I'm ever so sorry.

I do know what everything else is though, whoop whooop!!!

The papers are from Lili of The Valley - Bonnets and Bowties and Country Gent.

I love mixing and matching these pads :)

Picture-004web

38mm lilac faux silk ribbon topped with a pretty 15mm sparkly 2 hole button - both of course from the very fab Ribbon Girl

Picture-005web

The 40mm white daisy flower is also from The Ribbon Girl and the other bloomage is all from Wild Orchid Crafts

And I've been at the Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One die set again!! A new die has landed here at chez Piggy today and it is beeeeyoutiful, so no doubt we are going to be seeing a fair bit of that one as well.

I am so predictable sometimes, I even bore myself!!!

Picture-006web

Another fave - Cheery Lynn's French Pasty Doily Die :)

You can get these dies from Lili of The Valley, along with a whole host of others so if you are getting your stamps and there is a die you fancy, it's well worth ringing the shop if you can't drop in. You can read about it on the shop website in the latest news here

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK today.

The camera is still out of action but luckily I did this card at the weekend, so without further ado, let’s nip across the pond and join our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

I popped some red gems in the ‘O’s – I am such a messer!!!!!!

Picture 005 copy

STILL loving this die – it’s a  Simon Says Stamp Exclusive and this is Simon Says Stamp STRING OF HEARTS Craft DIE

You can maybe see better in this pic that I over - coloured some of the hearts on the image, and quite shoddily it would seem lol,  with Ranger STICKLES CANDY CANE Red Glitter Glue

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the old card done for today.
Right I better go and get on and I’ll see you soon if not sooner – ie once I can get the camera to open – but till then, have a fab week and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

So that’s my card all done.

Well it is a quiet old weekend here peeps. My lot have gone to the Cotswolds so we are grandchild-less. It’s one of those things that looks fine on paper but the reality is different and we are soooooo missing them. The house is nice and quiet (and tidy) though so I guess we should enjoy it while we can …. as long as it doesn’t happen to often lol!!

Right, enjoy the rest of your Sunday and don't’ forget to nip over and check out the challenge. Also I still have my gorgeous giveaway and it isn't too late to enter – you can read all about it right here.

Take care, stay warm and safe and see you tomorrow (yes I will be back but I can’t say why!!!)
