I Want One Of These :)

Hi peeps and hope you are all OK today xxx.

It's that time of the week when we catch up with our friends in the US of A over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge and this week our theme is

Travel

This week the DT are showcasing Basic Grey products.
You don't have to use them of course, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

And as always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

… right here :)

THANK YOU Heidi & Simon Says Stamp xxx

So what did I do then?

 Picture-001webw

Well, for what seems like aaaaaaaaaaages now, I got out the old Copics and gave this sweet little Penny Black  ABOUT TOWN Mimi stamp a splash of colour.

And the paper I used is BasicGrey WHAT'S UP 6 x 6 Cardstock Paper Pack.

I've sort of gone back to my clean and simple roots with this one  It's the way I used to make them years ago before I got tempted by all the lovely blooms and embellies etc.

Funnily enough, I was a bit richer then.
Do you think there's a correlation here peeps lol!!!

Picture-005web

It does seem a while since I did any colouring so I really enjoyed this and these are the pens I used -

Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02
Hair - E31, E35, E39, E85
The rest - E31, E35, E39, E85, G000, G00, G21, Y15, Y38, YR04, YR07, YR68

And I thought I'd give her a nice hippy type car so I did a bit of paper piecing.

I soooooo want a car  like that :)

 Picture-004web

The stars were cut using a set of  Wplus9 CLEAR CUT STACKERS: STARS Designer Dies.
I found the button at the bottom of my button stash and added a bit of twine, like you do!!!

Picture-002webw

 Picture-003web

So that's my card and thanks for stopping by today.

Can I just ask anybody out there if they have had any issues with their Grand Calibre machine? Mine has started to ooze oil and grease and it's gone all over the plates and over my work. I now have to sandwich anything I want to cut in between 2 pieces of thin paper to protect it or it just gets covered. I know my machine gets loads of use - probably well above average - but I'm surprised that this has started to happen and don't know why. Anybody got any clues or know of somebody I can contact re this please. I use it so much that I cannot manage without it really. Thanks me darlins xxx

Right I'm off.  Have the best day and see you soon as soon.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

It’s quite a simple card really (for me!!) and these pretty papers are from the Basic Grey What's Up 6x6 Cardstock Paper Pack - I really like these colours.

Picture 005 copy

I did the sentiment panel here on the old pooter.

I can’t claim the credit for the actual words. I got them from t’internet – cheaty McCheat!!!

 Picture 004 copy

The flowers were punched using a Martha Stewart STAMP & PUNCH FLOWER Set

( I didn't stamp, I only punched lol!!)

Picture 002 copy

Simon Says …. You’re Late You Naughty Piggy!!!!!

(they didn’t really lol but it’s  true so gazillions of apols xxx!!)

So hi there lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today.

It’s that time of the week when we head across the water and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week and as it’s very nearly Thanksgiving in the jolly old US of A, our theme this week is

Thanksgiving / Thank You

so it’s self explan really, and for those of us who don't celebrate we can make a Thank You card / creation instead.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here (lucky girlie!!)

So ….

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did.

I just realised that I used the same colour theme for last week. I must be in an apricot sort of mood!!!

The papers are gorge Basic Grey WHAT'S UP 6 x 6 Cardstock and I just die cut a heart shape using the largest Spellbinders Nestabilities CLASSIC HEART 6 Die and layered it up using dimensionals.

I had a bit of a mishap (surely not I hear you cry!!) because this was the second attempt.

I have sort of started inking up the edges of practically everything (I blame Debi at Crab Apple Crafts!). So I am merrily inking away when the paper slipped and I ended up with a nice big brown streak across the paper.  Well this is not at all attractive as you can imagine,  so I had to start again – doh!!!

Picture 004 copy

I topped one of the fab Prima Craftable blooms with some Hero Arts 24 Flowers SUNSHINE PRINT CH206 Orange blooms. Then I had a little die cutting sesh with the Memory Box Delicate Fern die and of course the leaf bit from the Magnolia leaf and swirl die set.

 Picture 005 copy

Now where would we be without SAFMAT Self-Adhesive Printing Film???

I really do love this stuff and use it all the time. If you’ve never used it, go and and have a go – you will be hooked!!! Yopu juts print out whatever you want onto it, cut around the printed bit, remove the backing sheet and put it onto your card.  A quick rub and the film becomes practically invisible.

Awesome!!!

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the old card done and I’ll be back soon as soon with some more cardage. If you get a sec, nip over and check out the challenge – and if you fancy joining in we would love to see you there :)

Have the fabbiest day and huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Ohhhh So Trendy :)

Hi lovely peeps and hope you are all OK today.

I’m still sniffing and snotting like nobody's business (ugh, too much info there possibly!!) but I think that perhaps the achy limbs are not as bad today even if the old throat is still quite painful!!! Before we get to the card, just to let you know that my winner from last week’s Put A Stamp On It challenge will be announced later so please do keep checking. The winner of the $100 voucher will be announced on the challenge blog as well.

So time to head across the water and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week our challenge is ….

We're So TRENDY …

as this week we are using designs that are very much on trend at the moment…

      NEON                                                  HEXAGON                                           CHEVRON

....  so you just need to include these in your projects this week :)

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here.

So …..

 Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did and this is just about as different as you could get for me, but I’m quite pleased with how it turned out :)

I’ll put linky pics at the end with all the stuff I used so you just need to click the pic and it should take you straight to the correct place in the shop.

Picture 007 copy

I used chevrons and hexagons (no neon sadly) and the both are included in the DP. Not sure if I am stretching it a bit here but the stitching is also chevron shaped.

It is isn't it????

Picture 004 copy

The star of the show – this lovely bloom.

I used 4 of the Prima Craftable blooms to maje it. I used one as a base and the other 3 I scrunched up and glued to the base flower before adding some Diamond Stickles.

I added a decorative brad and popped it onto a Kaiser White Flower Crochet Doily (these add a nice but of texture).

Picture 005 copy

You can see the patterns on the DP in this pic :)

Picture 002 copy

Picture 003 copy

Here’s the shopping list …..

*Prima CRAFTABLE FLOWERS #730 WHITE                      *Kaiser WHITE FLOWER Crochet Doilies EM949                     *Memory Box DELICATE FERN Craft DIE 98341

*Basic Grey PB&J 6 x 6 Cardstock Paper Pack PBJ3677                          *Martha Stewart EMBOSSED ZIGZAG Edge Punch Zig Zag 284005

So that’s me done for now and I’ll be back soon with my winner.

I’ll also be back tomorrow with something a little bit lilacy and a little bit minty. No sneakie peekie though cos I haven’t done the pics yet!!

Have the fabbiest of days and huggiest of hugs to all xxxx

A Final Total, A Bit Of A Disaster & Something Completely Different!!!!

Hi there sweet peeps and hope you are all OK and having a great week :)

Before we get to the post, I can now reveal the final total of the jumpers and beanies that everyone has so kindly knitted. I think I said before that when I put the call out, I knew that some of you lovely crafty peeps would want to help. So I thought we might get a few dozen. Then when they started arriving I thought we might get a hundred or so. But never in my wildest dreams did I think we would get what we did get.

So my involvement with the appeal is now done and thanks to you all out there we managed to collect ….

2215 jumpers and 1902 beanies

and that is an awful lot of babies who will now have something to call their own.

So thank you thank you thank you xxx

It goes without saying that I think you are all amazing and this is not just the fabulous knitters but of course everyone who helped by giving it a toot and sending people over here to have a look. And to Liz  in the next village who has taken them all to be shipped and to the lovely ladies in Purple Butterfly Crafts who have stored them there for us.

I have a list of individual thank yous to write so please bear with me if I haven’t gotten around to you yet, but if it takes me all year I will!!

So now for my late late post which should have been on here yesterday as it’s time to head across the water and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this week it’s all about

Anything Goes

which means you can get all crafty and creative – marvellous!!!!

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here.

And this week we have all featured Hero Arts products but of course, you don’t have to use them to join in but  if you have them, why not have a bash too :)

So …..

Picture 001 copy

… this is what I did and this week I haven’t done a card.

It’s that time of the year when I start to think about making bits and bobs for Christmas and I thought I’d make a quick and easy bookmark.

It’s kind of hard to explain it but the piece at the front with the image panel on is actually a long strip folded in half and the front side covered with paper and the image panel added. This is then tucked into ….

Picture 003 copy

… the bit at the back.

You can then place each side of the front piece over the page if that makes sense (sorry if I am not explaining it very well but the head is all over the shop at the mo!!

The papers are Basic Grey WHAT'S UP 6 x 6 Cardstock – I really like the soft peaches and greens in these papers.

Picture 002 copy

The image is made using a Clear Hero Arts Stamps Sparkle SCALLOP HELLO FRIEND cl313 with Gem Gemstones pack and I coloured it with Copics but due to the melee that went on here yesterday, I don’t have the list. But it’s mainly YR colours plus G99 and YG00 if that helps.

Picture 004 copy

You can see both pieces together in this pic and the top pic is how it looks when they are put together.

Hugest apols to Simon Says Stamp for being so late  but we had a bit of a disaster yesterday.

It had  been raining really badly during the night because we could hear it, and it was still raining heavily when we got up. I pottered about and then left to go to the hoz to see my aunty. Well when we got back, there was water all over the kitchen floor. I’d left the washing machine on and I thought that maybe that had sprung a leak but it wasn’t that and after a bit of investigation, we found that it was coming in from the roof and there was a crack in the joist in the kitchen ceiling. So we were trying to sort it out but we then had to turn off the electrics – my hair is curly enough -  and so I had no pc or anything. By the time we got it cleared up and fixed etc it was quite late.  I just wanted a bad day to end so I went off to bed and this is the first chance I’d had today.

So that was that and hopefully it will be fine now but I am dreading the next time it rains. To be fair we haven't had rain like that for a long time – it was dreadful. My Emma 6 miles up the road had a bit but not like us.  But all the same, I will be holding my breath next time it starts again.

So have a great day and see you all soon as soon and finally before I go, this is just a reminder that the Children's Holiday Challenge which you can find HERE closes at 8am EST on 31st August so if your dinks haven't yet entered and want to do so, there’s still a bit of time left.

Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

I Quite Like This One!!!!

Hi there peeps and hope you are all OK today. Please excuse the very drab and uninspiring post title but I could not for the life of me think what to call this today!! Suffice to say that I made a card that I quite liked – that’s it really (sad isn't it!!)

It’s that time of the week when we nip over to the jolly old US of A and catch up with our friends over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Before I get to the old cardio, just a quickie to let you know that we are running our annual  Children's Holiday Challenge  ….

…. and we already have some truly wonderful masterpieces,  so if you  know any crafty little bods ages 2-16 years old, why not get them to enter (Kyla you are NOT using my Copics!!)  It’s an Anything Goes theme so they can really get creative, and we would love to see what the little sausages do. PLUS there are 2 fabulous prizes up for grabs :). If you click the pic above it will take you to the right place on the website or you can read all about it here.

Right onto our challenge this week which is

KRISTINA'S INSPIRATION

This is a photo which has been done by Simon Says Stamp's very own Kristina Werner.
Kristina is super inspiring, sweet as can be and uber talented and she is the one who gets to choose what goes into the
Monthly Card Kits that Simon Says sell, plus she designed some stamp sets that can be purchased through the card kit and also in the store separately. But if that wasn't enough she is the designer of the exclusive dies that we featured last week. So all in all, she is one very talented girlie indeed :)

And this ….

… is the inspiration photo we have all used this week - it’s of her gorgeous kitty cat, Mannie, aww:).

The DT have all featured Basic Grey products but of course you don't have to use them to join in. But we would love to see them used if you have any.

As always, our lovely Heidi is giving away a fabulous …

… for one lucky winner to spend …

…right here.

So …..

Picture 001 copy

.. this is what I did.

I used one of the new Turning Leaves Magnolia stamps – this is Tilda With Daisy & Mushrooms and I’ll do the close up and colours I used in the next pic.

The papers are all from the Basic Grey Little Black Dress  6 x 6 Paper Pack

Picture 005 copy

I’ve really fallen in love with colouring again after Claudia's class and these are the Copics I’ve used  -

Skin – E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21, R00, R02

Hair – E15, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, E50

The rest – C00, C1, G99, E43, E50, E81, R02, R05, R17, R29, R59, W00, W1, W3, W5, W7

Picture 004 copy

Oops of the little gems has slipped here :(

Slap dash Phillips strikes again!!!

The little blooms are cut with the 3 smallest dies from the Spellbinders Rose Creations set. I found some tiny red sequins in my stash and popped them in the centre before I (badly) adding the gems.

Picture 002 copy

2 of my old faves have put in an appearance as well – the good old Tilda Lace Die and Magnolia leaf and swirl die (minus the leaf bit – poor thing always gets left out!!)

Picture 003 copy

So that’s the old card done and if you get a sec, do nip and check out the challenge peeps and also the amazing cardage for the DT. Till next time have a fab day and huggiest of hugs to all

And finally, well done to our two girlies this morning - our first gold and all that is left to say is ….

… come On Bradley Wiggins – you can do it !!!!!!!
