I love to look at the sea but as a non-swimmer I have to say that to be under the sea does not appeal to me at all. I do quite like to watch nature programmes though!
Now, to my entry for Dragons Dream TIO 197 which this time is Helen's choice - number 5, and a little riddle for you!
Are you humming the tune yet?
I must confess that it has been going around in my head since I first saw the challenge!
The original tag I thought of has had a bit of a change since by seeing the Thats Crafty challenge - Under the Sea
I started by using Distress inks, Faded Jeans, Pine Needles and Dusty Concord randomly over my tag, a few spatters of water then using Picket Fence Distress Stain stamped on some random sequin waste(Artistic Stamper)The seaweed is a seedhead stamp but can't name the company as it is loose in my box, as is the hand)The fish is a very old Elusive Images wood mounted stamp - one of the first stamps I ever bought….to make a birthday card I think!
I used Flitterglu and then metal flakes - I must say I am most impressed how sharp the image is - I have only ever used the glue randomly before!
Now here's a big clue IF you haven't got it yet…for the words 'once', 'why?' and 'because' I used three different letter sets and used a sakura pen around the edges.
Nearly finished..I added some Viva Decor Emerald Maya Gold to the seaweed and around the edge of the tag before finding some suitable ribbon and thread.
Now….you've got it haven't you…
1,2,3,4,5…
Once I caught a fish alive,
Why did you let him go?'
Because he bit my finger so,
Which finger did he bite?,
This little finger on the right!
Okay I tricked you - the only hand stamps I have are all left hands and the only way the hand looked okay was to place it on the left!
I am entering the following Challenges
Dragons Dream TIO197 Number 5
That's Crafty - Under the Sea

T stands for …….time and Dragons!
Really, I don't know where the time is going to these days! It's probably got something to do with the fact that we are having quite a lot of time away from home lately - 'hubby-with-no-hobby' wants to be out and about but not on his own (although he has gone into town on an errand today!)Now, this makes me seem ungrateful, as I too love to be out and about, but also love to spend time in my craft room and I'm not good at speed crafting…
That said, this tag for Dragons Dream TIO - 196 - 'Eight' has only taken me an hour and that's including searching for a small playing card! I was determined to play along this time as I do love the challenges set here and the fabulous team inspiration.
The tag was spritzed and then 'Brushoed' with brown and ultramarine.
Stencilled TH clockwork with Aged Mahogany distress (and stamped some random dots too)
Archival Potting Soil to stamp the image three times - once onto dictionary paper, once onto some manilla paper (so that I could cut out the wings and the face) and once onto the tag itself to layer up.I used a Wendy Vecchi text for added background.
The card and ribbon coloured with Faded Jeans and Aged Mahogany.
I hadn't notice the 8 on the front of the dress until I was cutting out the wings.
Now, that is the first change I made to what I thought was going to be straightforward - a show and tell of something I was doing at the weekend.
The second change is about what arrived at lunchtime in the late post
Oh yes, customs opened it alright…including what was inside!
Now I don't know what they thought of this but I gasped at it's beauty!!
Karla has sent me this…not only this, but three of the most beautiful ATC's I've seen..
Wrapped up with a lovely note...
Aren't these fabulous?!! I will e-mail you later Karla but Thank You so much for brightening my day!!
So, that was change two..
Now the reason I am here is to join Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T tands for Tuesday
I was going to show you some France photos but I will save those for another time..so what to show you..hold on…here comes change 3……I remembered our new mugs..
The first time we used them we had a 'posh' coffee - ok, it was only one of those packet Mochas but it tasted especially good from our new mugs!! I actually remembered to take a photo!!!
So, off now to get back into my craft room before hubby gets back - I think we may be going out tomorrow!!!
Thanks for looking, Chris

GD for DD
Yes, those lovely folk at Dragons Dream TIO have invited me to be Guest Designer for their new topic 'Black and Stencils' - Thank you, especially Helen who has chosen this recipe!
As you may know I love stencils and if you saw my post yesterday you may also like to know that in my teens I spent a lot of time wearing black - much against my Mum's wishes - she would have preferred me to be more girly!!
Like a lot of girls in those days I would dream of being a model like Twiggy, which then got me thinking about photographs which then led to a "What If?"….photographs had been around in the Middle Ages, which led to this..any excuse to use my favourite stamps!
Peacock Feathers DI all over the tag then stencils using blue, black and gold.
The images are all Lynne Perella by Paper Artsy. The film reel is using a punch I've had since I started crafting.
Of course, these aren't the real characters from that time - just actors - extras in a film and these are the stills!!!
Hope you have lots of fun with your stencils - the Dragons Dream Design Team have!!

Dreaming with an 'X'
Oh boy! When I saw the title of this challenge at Dragons Dream I had a panic moment until I read that Julie Ann wanted an 'x' somewhere in a word! The challenge is 'The letter x and the colour purple' - well you must know by now that I'm happy with purple in any of it's shades!
Once I knew the letter x could be anywhere I don't know what made me think of it but the word 'Elixir' came into my head - so now what??
Well, at that point my Mojo upped and left me in the lurch. I still had the word going around in my head but not a clue what to do! A few outings and I had only been in my craft room to poke at things - nothing came to mind - should I think of a different word?! Over Saturday and Sunday I decided to sit at my desk and prepare a few die-cuts….and that's when I thought of this(of course by now the place was covered in bits poked out of holes and lots of mess to clear out of the way!)
I started by rubbing a combination of purple shades of Distress inks over the tag and then used a water soaked sponge through my TH 'Rays' stencil. I wanted a bit of the 'Elixir' splashed over the corner of the tag - a little bit of runny black gesso, and then when it had been heat dried to make it bubble a bit I rubbed in a combination of magenta and aquamarine Inca Gold hoping it would make a shade of lilac(it did!) The bottle is an Artistic Stamper one that I've had for ages - doesn't get used nearly enough!I stamped it onto a piece of kitchen roll that I had been using as a shim - it had totally flattened it! The edges were torn and had just enough texture around the bits that hadn't been under a die!I coloured the bottom part of the bottle to give the impression of something being in it. A Crafty Individuals perfume label was stamped by picking out the edges with a distress marker and I hand wrote the label.
At this point I didn't feel it was finished so used a small text stamp around the edges.I also added some 'Brushed Pewter' Distress Stain to the lid and dried off the brush by painting over the bottom of the bottle.
I left it over night and then this morning gave the elixir something to run across the tag to 'cure'….some crackle paste tinted with Dusty Concord Distress!
So here I am on time again (it won't last!!) with my entry for Dragons Dream 180 "Letter X and the colour Purple"
Thanks for looking, Chris
