Sewing up some cards
I finally took a break from sewing to make some cards this afternoon- well actually they started with sewing... I had a bit of yellow thread left on my bobbin that I wanted to use up and my needle was getting dull so I grabbed a 6x6 pad of Simple Stories Autumn papers and made the card fronts. Then it was simply a matter of trimming some of the papers into borders and focal points. I added a little seam binding and some Imaginisce I-rocks to complete the cards.( A little added oomph was also supplied with a few daubs of brown chalking ink, flower punch, and trusty pop dots.)

Lovely Leftovers!
I made this card using left-over scraps of Maggie Holmes Crate paper that we had used to make a fabulous clipboard at the I heart Memories Retreat in Utah last month.
The pieces were so pretty I couldn't bear to waste any of them.
I saw this Cardabilities sketch and immediately thought of these scraps.Since I used a kraft base I thought that I would link it up with the Kraft Journal blog as well.
I made it more my own by using a Spell Binders Nestabilies die and embossing the card stock with an Anna Griffin and a Paper Studio embossing folder.
