Putting the flowers to work!

Here's a card that I started yesterday-I picked up the Penny Black mousies stamp @ From the Heart in Claremont on the So Cal Shop Hop.The images is painted w/ Lyra watercolor crayons.
The background papers are Making Memories.Label Shape is a Spellbinders Nestability die, border punch is Martha Stewart.
I used CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart to make the dimensional flower, the sentiment (stamped w/ the coordinating CTMH stamp-I love that!) and the little white photo corners were cut with the cart as well.

Dimensional Flowers w/ Cricut

How pretty are these little buds?!
Using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge-I cut them @ 3 inches.I then rolled them from the outside edge in on a hemostat. And stuck the coiled petals down with an adhesive glue dot( I tried regular glue with my first one and it was just a big hot mess as the glue stayed too wet and everything uncoiled) I might try a low temp heat gun or Fabric Tac Glue on subsequent attempts.
OK back to my stamp cave to cut some more @ different sizes and in different colors and prints....
PS_ I also stuck a pink Prima pearl at the base of a few of them.

I couldn't resist picking up a Girls Paperie Kit that was being clearanced @ Tuesday Morning. I Glittered this rose element from it and layered it over the shaped oval tag(cut from Cricut French Manor) The music paper- I printed with my Imagine using the Teresa Collins Black & White cart ( I love that cart sooooo much!)Did a little Martha border punching action.
The ribbon is some of my hand dyed seam binding. Added a button and some bakers twine to finish it off.

Giants LO

This LO was from a class that I am teaching @ Michaels. The 'Go Team" is Cricut 3 birds on parade.Striped PP is SU! PP for the pennants is from CTMH

Sunday, July 17, 2011

I made this LO using the Imagine More Cricut cartridge to create the pre-printed page on the right- I gave it some dimension w/ black brads and also cut the journalling text block w/ the same cart. For the left page I used the Imagine More cart to print some coordinating yellow checked background paper. I also cut the string of pennants from one of the layers. The title is the font from Nursery Rhymes and the sail boat border is from Wall Decor and More.

Desk Scraps Card

I had to break in my new Teresa Collins Black and White cart for my Imagine and created this yummy brocade background paper.
I then challenged myself to make a card with just odd schtuff on my desk.
The pink journalling block is very old Creative Imaginations, The stamp i from PrintWorks, flowers were an experiment w/ a SU! die and papers, and the Martha Stewart punched border I literally fished out of my trash can having rolled over it repeatedly with my chair!

Copic Chat

I was so happy to see that my local Mike's is now carrying Copic markers-so I have slowly started building up my collection again- one marker and 40% off coupon at a time!
I also started my own color collection @ CopicColor.com- a very cool website. Go check it out.
Todays color was E13-suntan.It gave this lil gal a very nice glow along the shadowed side of her face. I picked up the New Copic Coloring Guide book by Annie's Attic @ Collective Journey last week and hope to keep on improving in my coloring so watch for lots of stamped cards here :-)
Stamp & PP from The Angel Company
Brads- Karen Foster
