Free Flash Version of Plants vs. Zombies Available

PopCap has announced that a free Flash version of Plants vs. Zombies is now available on its website. PopCap VP of Marketing, Ben Rotholtz, sees the freebie as a way to net buyers sitting on the fence about Plants vs. Zombies. While the Flash-based PvZ isn't the full game -- only six of the 24 zombie types and 12 of the 40 plant types are included -- it does contain three game modes, 14 stages, one exclusive zombie type and streaming music from the PC version.
