Tribes: Ascend proclaims the return of the sci-fi online multi-player shooter franchise Tribes. Developed using the Unreal 3 engine, this is THE definitive multiplayer FPS for those seeking fast-paced, jetpack-enabled combat combined with teamwork and strategy.
Good news: Tribes Ascend has officially added its new $30 Game of The Year Edition. Those of you who held out because you don't like microtransactions can now plunk down a few bucks to unlock damn near every class, gun, and mod there is. Better news: you can win one of the five GOTY codes that Hi-Rez gave us for free! Here's how. Read More »
Well, this seems rather backwards. While many games are going from full-priced to free-to-play, Tribes: Ascend is going the opposite. Sort of. According to this post on the Hi-Rez forums, they're planning on implementing an option to simply buy every unlock from the start, rather then picking them up piecemeal. Not a bad plan. I'm all for more choices, myself. Read More »
Here at GameSpy HQ (deep, deep in the bowels of an active volcano on an island surrounded by shark infested waters), we like to kick back and relax with a little jet pack skiing in free-to-play shooter Tribes: Ascend. You'll unlock new weapons, upgrades, and equipment in half the time. Read More »

The last two updates (August 22nd and September 12th) made major changes that have jolted players out of their comfort zones with disruptive new gear and modes, giving us a ton of new tactics to make use of and counter. Here are some of the best game-changing things I've seen and done in Tribes that just weren't possible before. Read More »

And that's not even mentioning new weapons for the Soldier or the new map for CTF Blitz. Read More »
