There was a time when Pro Evolution Soccer was the shining beacon of footy gaming. Not so much the past few years, and at this point Konami has to play catch-up while simultaneously trying to bring something new to the table. The devs claim they will do all that and more in PES 2013 thanks to a host of new features inspired by the play of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Watch him do his thing in the announcement trailer.

PES 2013 is set to arrive on PC in the fall, highlighted by a lengthy list of tweaks, improvements, and new features. Get the full rundown on the official PES 2013 website, and see the highlights below:
PES FullControl: Total control over player movement, passing, and shooting. Better, more realistic dribbling and ball control.

Player ID: The digital versions of soccer's stars will play more like their real-life selves. Konami notes this will be especially true for goalkeepers, who will behave in a much more realistic manner.

ProActive AI: Konami says it has "eradicated illogical AI behavior." Expect teams to play as more cohesive units and pose more of a realistic challenge.
