Soon, action-RPG fans, soon. Next week we will be allowed to walk down the Path of Exile, the hack 'n' slasher from Grinding Gears Games. The open beta begins January 23rd, and they've got a nice little trailer to prove it. Is that really what the skill trees look like? Because oh man, those are awesome. And overwhelming. But mostly awesome.
Unfortunately, the release of the open beta also coincides with one last character wipe, so those of you who have been lucky enough to tool around in the closed beta won't have all your hard-earned gear and levels for much longer. Sorry guys, but it's only fair.
Of course, if you drop $10 or more on pre-purchasing Path of Exile right now, you'll get acess to the closed beta right away. That might be a good idea if you want to fool around with some classes and builds before settling down on something when the open beta drops.
