If you read our exclusive review of SWAT 4 a few days back, you know that we've really been enjoying Irrational Games' update of the popular franchise. Unlike typical shooters, where the goal is to kill anything that moves, SWAT 4 requires a more deliberate approach to resolve situations peacefully with at little shooting as possible. Simply entering a room the wrong way can get people killed, so it's crucial to have a basic understanding of the weapons at your disposal and how to use your team most effectively.
To help, we've got video walkthroughs covering parts of five levels in SWAT 4, from easy missions like the Fairfax kidnapping to more complex assignments like the robbery at the Duplesis diamond vault or bomb situation at the Old Granite Hotel. Narrated by SWAT 4 lead tester Calvin Wong, these videos explain basic SWAT 4 strategies, as well as specific tips for several of the missions. Fairfax Residence
Lawrence Fairfax is the lead suspect in a string of recent killings involving young women at a local university. Now, it's believe Fairfax is holding another female student hostage in the house where he lives with his mother, Gladys. Your job is to get in, bring the situation under control, and rescue the student before any harm can come to her.

Qwik Fuel Convenience Store
An armed robbery at a local convenience store has gone bad, and the suspects have taken the store's employees and possibly some customers hostage. The store is a maze of tight passages and small rooms, and intel suggests that the suspects may be drug addicts and currently high, making everything that much more dangerous.

Northside Vending and Amusements
For the past few weeks, undercover detective Jeremy Walsh has been working to infiltrate an illegal gambling establishment. However, after being invited to the bookmaking area, Walsh's wire abruptly went dead, and is long overdue to check in. The suspects involved have extensive records, and it's assumed they're well armed. Your team's job is to get in, retrieve Walsh and control the situation.

DuPlessis Wholesale Diamond Center
This mission starts in the lobby of a diamond wholesaler, which finds itself in the middle of a heist. The thieves drove a truck through the main doors and, outfitted with body armor and machine guns, have also taken several employees hostage, making your job combing the many hallways of the building that much more complicated.

Old Granite Hotel
A militia group called America Now has taken a real estate heir and his general contractor hostage at the site of a current project, the Old Granite Hotel, and are demanding twelve million dollars in ransom. The area where it's believed the hostages are being held was under construction, and it's unknown how the group -- who would love nothing more than media coverage -- will react should the story get out, so time is of the essence.
