I'm usually very leery of console-to-PC translations. Video game companies have a bad habit of viewing a PC version of a console game as a "one-off." They'll occasionally just dump console code into an emulator, shove the thing in a box and ship it out the door, leaving gamers to deal with lousy console-resolution graphics, poor sound, and crappy gamepad-oriented controls poorly translated to a keyboard. Fortunately, Konami's Silent Hill 2 avoids most of those obvious traps, giving PC gamers a good translation of a great game.
