Up until today, Skyrim felt a little uneven. The Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard content packs were noticeably low resolution, while the rest of the world could take advantage of the official High Resolution Texture Pack that Bethesda had already put out. What's a guy with a high-end PC to do? Well, they've gone ahead and fixed that by updating the whole thing. Time to look at some pretty stuff.

Of course, the texture pack is gigantic (4.7 GB for the update alone) and requires a fair bit of PC power, so be ready for it to test your rig's mettle. Read the full specs over at the Bethesda blog. Then, head over to Steam to download and update the pack.

How do you guys feel about the official texture pack? Are there some other mods that have similar effects that you prefer?
