I've often thought how much work it would take to fully voice every single NPC in a game as large as Skyrim. Obviously, it's something that is fairly out of the realm of possibility for most developers, even the mighty Bethesda. But a group of intrepid modders have gone ahead and done their best to fill in the gaps. As spotted by Kotaku, here's the Skyrim Interesting NPCs mod.

The mod promises quite a bit:
  • More than 90 Voiced NPCs and over 100 in total
  • Nearly 20,000 lines and over 300,000 words of Player and NPC Dialogue
  • 8 Full and 6 Miscellaneous Quests
  • Over 20 Followers with Location Based Commentary
  • 8 Marriage NPCs
Yes, that means that whoever you've got following you around will be dropping lines about wherever you happen to be hanging out at any particular moment. There have also been a slew of new bard songs added, if that's your particular cup of tea. I suppose even the most adventurous of, uh, adventurers need to sit down and listen to some music over a pint of mead every so often.

Now, the Interesting NPCs mod is a work in progress, but you can check it out over at Nexus Mods.
