Vote on the coolest stuff you can find and watch it make its way to the top.
Ever take the most beautiful
Skyrim screenshot you've ever seen, only to have it sit on your hard drive forever, never to be admired by the world at large? How about that amazing
Team Fortress 2 hat that you just can't seem to get out to the public? Don't fret,
Valve is there to help you out with the newly announced Steam Community update. Today, they've announced Game Hubs, which allow players to vote on, discuss, and share user-generated content with ease. The potential result? Why, friendship of course.
It works like this: Each game has its own Hub, which compiles all the news and content into one place for users to comb through and upvote (to steal lingo from a certain community-run website) as they so choose. The most popular stuff, obviously, floats its way to the top. Down with our overlords telling us what is and isn't important! Democracy lives!
Valve said Game Hubs will come via a series of Steam client updates, the first of which will arrive this week. If you want in on all the Game Hub goodness early, be sure to accept the client beta in your Steam settings.
