You can never have enough weapons. Even if you never use them, the knowledge that they're out there and available to be picked up and stabbed into the nearest hostile bandit or saber cat helps us all sleep better at night. To that end, we present you with the keys to an upgraded arsenal of Skyrim weaponry, including ornate axes, fine imported Morrowind glass, and crossover hits from other games. Oh yeah: and freakin' lightsabers.

Magicka Sabers by Lord Haun
Skyrim is as cold as Hoth, and mammoths are the original AT-AT Imperial walkers. It seems only fair that you should have a more elegant weapon fit for the setting -- a weapon like a Magicka Saber. After all, you can already throw people around and shoot lightning from your fingers, so you may as well go full-on Jedivahkiin. Available in both one-handed and two-handed versions with many different colored blades, they can be crafted at the forge and tempered at a grindstone with ebony ingots and grand soul gems.

Yeah, it's a fantasy game, but when you think about it, lightsabers are basically magic.

Final Fantasy 7 Buster Sword by DoubleBrewski
A large sword with an even larger legacy, this modification introduces Zack's Buster Sword from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII to the inventory of Skyrim adventurers. Your foes will quake in fear when you approach weilding this two-handed beast, especially after you use it to impale that bastard who stole your sweet roll. DoubleBrewski asked me to make sure to give credit to DemonZariche, who made the original version for Oblivion.

Your fantasy RPG isn't final without this sword.

Malos Weapons by Malo
Adding 18 new intricately designed weapons to Skyrim, Malos Mod really expands your range of options for things to hack and stab with. One picture isn't going to do justice to all the work here, so be sure to check out the various screenshots on his home page. A personal favorite is the huge axe with the skull buried in its side -- as a general rule, you should never screw with a guy who decorates his stuff with skulls.

Just one of 18 different new ways to stab elves!

Snake Battle Axe by Mikanoshi

A replacement for your Iron Battle Axe that adds an ornamental snake wrapped around the handle. How did it come to be? Given the lack of snakes in Skyrim, we can only assume that the smith who forged it had one imported, tied it around his wicked-looking blade and then turned it to stone, presumably by making it stare at Medusa before he chopped her head off with the axe. What you have left is one epic looking axe to frighten small children with.

Why did it have to be snakes? Because snakes are awesome, that's why.

Weapons of the Third Era by 747823

By now you're likely saying "Well Justin, you've given me a few dozen weapons, and I guess that's a pretty good number... but what if I have a bizarre fetish for pointy things, and I need a lot more?" Fear no more, fellow (and kind of creepy) adventurer! The Weapons of the Third Era travels to Morrowind and brings back over 50 weapons from that land, including a variety of longswords, nodachis, katanas, wakizashis, tantos, and more dangerous doodads that you can't pronounce. Now, shouldn't you be stabbing something?

They don't make'em like they used to.
