Daikatana II

Ill-fated from its inception, this planned sequel to the first-person shooter/adventure Daikatana by John Romero was announced before the original game was even completed. It was to run on the Unreal engine (versus the Quake engine used in Daikatana) and was developed in its early stages with the assistance of an outside developer. The project was canceled shortly into development, meaning that the sequel was born and died two years before the first game ever shipped.
