Let's all bow our heads for a moment in honor of the 13 million Agents who sacrificed their digital lives to bring us a polished version of Blacklight: Retribution. Zombie Studios took its time crafting the successor to Tango Down, keeping Retribution in beta for months -- a period in which players racked up a ridiculous 1.3 million headshots (according to info porn from publisher Perfect World). Now everyone has the chance to see the results of all that gratuitous online gunplay. Blacklight: Retribution is officially live.

We unleashed our Free Agent on Blacklight: Retribution during the open beta and discovered a futuristic FPS capable of going toe-to-toe with shooting's finest, F2P or not. Now that the official release is live, I for one am anxious to jump in and see how it plays for myself.

And for you veteran Retribution seekers, Zombie added that two new game modes, Netwar and Siege, complete with two new maps are on the way soon.
