Set 300 years after the events in Knights of the Old Republic (and featuring some familiar faces), Star Wars: The Old Republic will put players on either side of a massive war between the Republic and the Empire.
In Star Wars: The Old Republic, players will explore an age thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader when war between the Old Republic and the Sith Empire divides the galaxy. Players can choose to play as Jedi, Sith, or a variety of other classic Star Wars roles, defining their personal story and determining their path down the light or dark side of the Force. Along the way, SWTOR players will befriend courageous companions who will fight at their side or possibly betray them, based on the players' actions. Players can also choose to team up with friends to battle enemies and overcome incredible challenges.

Now, I'm no Star Wars expert, but I'm pretty sure the Gree aren't mentioned a whole lot. Sure, they pop up from time to time in background stories, but the fact that the next big update for Star Wars: The Old Republic will illuminate some of their history sounds really awesome. If there's one thing I don't get about the Star Wars universe, it's how the Hutts managed to become such a powerful entity. I'm certainly no Lucas universe expert, so perhaps the new Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic will give me a bit more insight. Read More »

Hmm. I seem to recall dealing with the Hutts during my Bounty Hunter's origin story on Hutta in Star Wars: The Old Republic. That's why it strikes me as odd that the just announced expansion for SWTOR is billed as featuring a "frightening new enemy," the Hutts.
