Roughly a year before Warner Bros. launched its Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel in 2011, it registered 15 different domain names, and, wouldn't you know it, Batman: Arkham City was among them. Last week, Warners was at it again, registering 15 new Batman-related domain names. You know what that means: it's time to play Name the Next Batman Arkham Game!

Fusible (by way of The Escapist) tracked down the list, which includes:
arkhamuniverse.com (Arkham Universe)
batmanarkahmuniverse.com (Batman Arkham Universe)
batmanarkhamarises.com (Batman Arkham Arises)

Which will it be? Before you place your bets, don't forget that back in July, Variety reported that developer Rocksteady Studios was working on a prequel set in DC's Silver Age of comics and featuring a number of characters from the original Justice League of America. Here's what Variety had to say:
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash already appear in Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, released in June, and will reunite for the videogame division's Injustice: Gods Among Us, out next year. But Variety has learned that WBIE is expected to re-team some of the characters in some form for the next installment in Rocksteady Studios' gritty vidgame series that began with Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

New, highly stylized title is being developed as a prequel that revolves around Batman's first meeting with the Joker. It's based on the Silver Age of DC's comic books from the 1950s when the Caped Crusader teamed with other heroes like Superman and founded the Justice League of America.
Based on that info, I think Batman: Arkham Origins and Arkham Legends are a nice fit. It's worth noting that last time around, Warners made its official Batman: Arkham City announcement roughly one month after it registered the domain names, so we could be hearing more soon. Whatever it's called, I'm in. I'm a Batman nerd and big fan of Rocksteady's treatment of The Dark Knight.
