Assemble! No, that's the Avengers. It's morphin' time! Er, Power Rangers. What was that catch phrase again? Justice League, ho! That's The Thundercats, so wrong again. Regardless, Variety has been told that Rocksteady Games is looking to feature the Justice League in a prequel to Batman: Arkham City. No word as to what extent the crew will be involved, but it certainly would be neat to see all that spandex in one place.

From Variety:
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash already appear in Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, released in June, and will reunite for the videogame division's Injustice: Gods Among Us, out next year. But Variety has learned that WBIE is expected to re-team some of the characters in some form for the next installment in Rocksteady Studios' gritty vidgame series that began with Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

New, highly stylized title is being developed as a prequel that revolves around Batman's first meeting with the Joker. It's based on the Silver Age of DC's comic books from the 1950s when the Caped Crusader teamed with other heroes like Superman and founded the Justice League of America.
Now for the real question: Which Justice League lineup are we looking at here? Judging by the timeline and story context, I'd have to say that the original lineup of Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, and Superman are the most likely, but with the recent reboot of the entirety of the DC universe in the comics, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cyborg sneak in there. Hawkgirl could make an appearance, as well. Or, you know, any number of the hundreds of JLA members over the years.

No guarantees that we'll even be able to play as any of the Justice League, but assuming we get to, who would you like most to play as? I'd love to get my hands on the Flash for a hefty section of the game, myself.
