It always kinda freaks me out that Mark Hamill, the largely inoffensive Skywalker kid from Star Wars, went on to play the Joker. And it always kinda freaks me out that he does it so well. He even affects that perpetually-grinning Joker face in the recording booth, as this behind-the-scenes video from Rocksteady demonstrates.

There's all sorts of method acting going on up in this joint, particularly from Batman's actor Kevin Conroy, who's got the almost-laughably moody furrowed-brow thing down pat. It's one thing you forget when you're staring at a game's pixelly veneer: voice acting requires much more than just voicework. When you watch Hamill contort his face like that, you almost can't tell him apart from his in-game counterpart. Well, besides the delightfully hideous makeup.

There's a lot here to get us pumped about the series again, all in time for the upcoming Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC. Am I the only one sad that Harley's actor didn't make an appearance in the above video?
