Sometimes a game is so complicated or so bizarre you just don't know what to say about it when you look at it for the first time. FPS games, RTS games, these are titles that can be so complicated that it takes pages and pages of text to begin scratching the surface. Adventure games usually don't fall into that category because the mechanics of such games are usually pretty familiar - get to know an appealingly unique character, pick up everything that's not nailed down and try to think outside the box enough to solve the fiendishly complicated puzzles the designer has set in front of you.
