The Atari Flying Collection, designed for the PC by Atari, takes three great flying games, Flight Simulator 98, Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos, and MechCommander 2, and packs them into one awesome collection. The Atari Flying Collection is sure to be a crowd-pleaser with those who are obsessed with being airborne, but gamers of all kinds can enjoy the strategy and prowess that drive these titles.
In Flight Simulator 98, players will take on the role of commercial pilot. In over 40 cities, players will learn to take off, fly, and land with the best of them, all with beautiful landscapes to spare. The airports are detailed, the runways, as difficult as real life, and the city lights, dazzling. Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos provides a different challenge, taking gamers to outer space. In this game, gamers essentially become space looters players can journey through an entire solar system, pirate merchandise from venders, and kill off opponents. MechCommander 2 offers a different appeal. In this game, players must use strategy in missions to improve their experience and equipment. Of course, it is still basically a flight game, and players will be flying huge Mechs that allow them to shoot and kill. Players must follow and win a linear campaign to end the game.
