Well, that didn't last too long. Whereas we spent three (!) Assassin's Creed games with Ezio, apparently Connor isn't worthy of his own full-blown trilogy. That is, according to Ubisoft, who announced today that there would be a brand new Assassin's Creed game coming in their fiscal 2014 (April 9, 2013 through March 31, 2014) that would feature a brand new protagonist in a different time period, as Polygon reports. So, IGN tells us that the first episode of The Tyranny of King Washington will be coming out on Feburary 19th. But Assassin's Creed 3 came out last October, so protagonist Connor is perhaps not the most fresh in all of our minds. I'm having a really hard time expressing how much I love the idea of an alternate reality where George Washington decided to go full on king. Yes, the man was an absolute national hero, but I love me some reimagined history. What does it mean to be "battle hardened?" There's one point of view that says it's about witnessing the hell and trauma of war, surviving, and coming out of the experience a stronger, but scarred person.
