Assassin's Creed III

Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin's Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratohnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Players become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date. Assassin's Creed III spans the Revolutionary War, taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington's Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army.

The First Chapter of the Tyranny of King Washington DLC Available Now

PC News | Feb 19, 2013

Like any red-blooded American, I am genetically required to hate anyone who takes the label of "King" for themselves. We like to call those folks "tyrants" around these parts. As such, I've found myself clicking my way over to Steam to pick up the new Assassin's Creed 3 DLC, The Tyranny of King Washington Episode 1: The Infamy. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got shackles to throw off. Read More »

New Assassin's Creed Announced

PC News | Feb 7, 2013

Well, that didn't last too long. Whereas we spent three (!) Assassin's Creed games with Ezio, apparently Connor isn't worthy of his own full-blown trilogy. That is, according to Ubisoft, who announced today that there would be a brand new Assassin's Creed game coming in their fiscal 2014 (April 9, 2013 through March 31, 2014) that would feature a brand new protagonist in a different time period, as Polygon reports. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to be an upset American about all of this. Read More »

Get a Refresher on Assassin's Creed 3's Connor Before Checking Out The Tyranny of King Washington

PC News | Feb 6, 2013

So, IGN tells us that the first episode of The Tyranny of King Washington will be coming out on Feburary 19th. But Assassin's Creed 3 came out last October, so protagonist Connor is perhaps not the most fresh in all of our minds. That's what this trailer is for, to give us a quick reminder of what the assassin is all about. Oh, and introduce some of the new powers he'll be getting. Read More »

Assassin's Creed 3's Tyranny of King Washington Release Date Announced

PC News | Jan 24, 2013

I'm having a really hard time expressing how much I love the idea of an alternate reality where George Washington decided to go full on king. Yes, the man was an absolute national hero, but I love me some reimagined history. And soon we'll all be able to deal with the Tyranny of King Washington in the only way Assassin's Creed 3 knows how: sneaky murder. Read More »

Release Date for Assassin's Creed 3's Battle Hardened DLC

PC News | Jan 8, 2013

What does it mean to be "battle hardened?" There's one point of view that says it's about witnessing the hell and trauma of war, surviving, and coming out of the experience a stronger, but scarred person. Or it could mean that your multiplayer portion of Assassin's Creed 3 will now include three more playable characters and maps. Who's to say which definition is correct (the first one)? Read More »
